    And a hearty huzzah from others. Maybe a Black Nationalist flag or something. Not nearly as analogous, but a crapload of Americans secretly wish the Confederacy were still around.

    Dixie generals are all folk heroes in military academies, and every Civil War movie or book ever made has been an apology for the South. Conservatives idealize the Confederacy/Old South/Deep South the same way some liberals get leg-straightening wood for Western Europe. They're the real life (Caucasian, christian, capitalist) implementation of each ideology's central ideas.
