I guess in worst case scenario he can also be trade bait when we dangle our expiring contracts in Februrary to a team...
wtf??!?! why would they get dorsey?? he's another undersized player...and he's a powerfoward??? wtf why would the rockets do this...now im doubting the credibility of this source
OK... another way to look at it. Portland wanted Batum at #27. San Antonio wanted Batum at #26. Portland KNEW San Antonio wanted Batum at #26. Houston wanted Arthur. San Antonio did not want Arthur. Houston made the deal, getting the guy they wanted PLUS some value. Portland made the deal, getting the guy they wanted WITHOUT letting San Antonio hose them. If Portland had not agreed to the deal, Houston would have picked Arthur and San Antonio would have picked Batum and Portland is stuck with Tomic/Jordan/someone else.
i suppose you can see into the future? he's another undersized pf on the roster and this doesn't sound encouraging: http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Darrell-Arthur-484/ but then the extra second round picks are needed, ie they need to draft a ready sg/sf in case they can't trade for or sign one.
hmmmm let's see: scola, landry, hayes and now arthur, man, you might as well throw in novak in in the logjam too.
draftexpress doesnt make it official... still no mention on ESPN WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If the deal was on, it may be off now. Ouch. 10:06 PM: RUMOR: Bill Self says that when Darrell Arthur was tested for a kidney issue at Kansas there wasn't a problem with the results. 10:01 PM: RUMOR: There have been reports that Darrell Arthur has an undisclosed kidney ailment and Ric Bucher is reporting that it has hurt his stock value.
if the 36th pick is chris douglas roberts it is a pick for us.... portland doesn't need that many guards.
if its CDR and Arthur for the 25th pick i'd say its an amazing draft thats 1 lottery player and 1 late first rounder from just the 25th pick.
