the main parts of the team he was on here in houston are barely in the league. cato, mo taylor, jim jackson, besides yao, the only player who has been productive in mobley.

new york, was a bad team before. orlando, they won twenty one games before he got there.

steve was an all-star, david well

you win. i don't care. i just don't want another undersized guard here. i'd rather spend money elsewhere. like someone to bang down low, a bit.

I'd love it if they cut him now and we could just sign him up for the minimum.

Steve Francis to get buyout from Blazers

He is going to get bought out, but with all of our PG's on board, can you even get excited???

Francis has only two seasons left on his contract, worth just over $34 million, but possesses the option to become a free agent after next season. The Blazers, however, are planning to buy out Francis' contract and make him a free agent this summer, sources said.

Rowdy in the other thread you are complaining about how we have 0 PF's on our roster, and now you are trying to get excited about Francis. We only have the MLE/LLE to offer, and as you astutely mentioned, we need size.

Our FA dollars will be spent on bigs. This was clear once the J-Ho trade was made.

The only exception is if we trade Rafer/Sura/V-Span/JLIII in some sort of package to fill that need...which likely won't happen.

Sorry, I'd sign him up for the minimum, keep MJ, and the draftee, and scrap every other pg on the team.

I don't care what you say, that's good enough for the PG spot

    Get him!

Let him start. Let MJ come off the bench, and earl boykins lite behind them.

Get rid of all of the other dead weight pg's. All of them.

Steve may not be our perfect point guard, and his BB IQ sucks, but he's better than anything we've got now, even if its coming off the bench ... sign him up. If he's bought out, theres very little risk, and with what few chits we have, we need to put them together somehow for a starting PF.

I will never understand the obsession this board has with bringing Steve Francis back.
