    You can't be serious...

Getting ejected is the most anti-clutch behaviour there is! Wallace led the league in ejections.

Agreed, Wallace needed to dominate if the Blazers stood a chance, he has not dominated. He isn't very clutch, no one on that roster is.

Did things improve any after the coaching change in Boston? Is he salvageable?

And up until the beginning of this season, they may have been right. However, Walker really turned it on this year, improving tremendously upon what were already pretty damn good numbers. The tandem of Walker and Pierce looks really good for the future; they just need to add half-decent point guard and a few quality big men and the Celts could be contenders. I think Pitino was a big part of the problem for Boston, but now that he's out of the way, the team should improve.

No, he isn't perfect, but neither is Rasheed. All things considered, I like Antoine better.

Antoine Walker would be a good fit, if he didn't jack up so many three's. 603 three pointers attempted. From what I've seen, Walkers entire offense consists of long jumpers or just lowering his head and stumbling toward the basket and hoping he gets lucky with a foul or good bounce. And I don't remember him playing defense.

All things considered, I'd still take Wallace over Walker.

I'd take Davis if we could work out a trade. Anyone know what kind of contract he has? He brings exactly what we need...someone with good rebounding skills and plays good defense.

I think Sheed would just take too much. Mo and #13 would not be enough I don't think. But I'd take him over Walker anyday. Walker reminds me of Kemp when Kemp was a good player...and look where Kemp is now.

Steve Smith could fit in here. He's the only one that fits our chemistry and style.

I'd take Rasheed over Walker also.

    One question though:

If the reason Rasheed is always gettin techincals is because he's unhappy in Portland because he's not the main man, then how would Houston be any better (aside from better coaching)? We have Francis and Mobley that need the ball, and are improving quickly.

The thing is, it wouldn't be any better for him in Houston. He wouldn't be the focal point of the offense and would probably end up feeling out of place in the Rocket's system simply because it doesn't revolve around him like the rest of the world does. Rasheed is a hothead with very little poise and maturity. I would seriously think twice about inserting him into a lineup of young, improving players with good chemistry.

Rasheed has talent, but he's also has the temperament of a 2 year-old. Please don't bring his carnival act to the Rockets. There's no talent in the world worth the joke he makes himself to be game after game.

Sheed is very good but it is laughable to call him a top 5 talent or <i/> top 10 player [/i]. In terms of skills, Rasheed is below all of the following, I'll star the ones his talent doesn't match either:

    Start with PF's
    - *Duncan
    - *Webber
    - *Garnett (You have to kidding if you think
he is better than any of these 3)

    also
    - *Malone (Though not the equal of the best 3 PF's now, he is still better than Sheed)

    Other clearly better players
    - *O'Neal
    - *McGrady
    - *Carter
    - *Kobe
    - *Iverson
    - Kidd
    - Payton
    - *Mourning

Zo is the only one of these who Sheed is a better go to guy, and Zo's D more than makes up his slightly inferior O than what Sheed brings.

Now there also are a few more players who maybe don't quite have the Sheed's overall skills just yet, but maybe are still better basketball players because of intangibles.

    McDyess
    Brand
    Francis

That's about all I can think of off the top of my head, that puts Sheed between the 12-16 best player. Depending on the cost's (e.g., Shandon, Cato, and our 1st rounders, maybe Portland gets desperate), I would consider trying him out as a Rocket. He is an idiot, but I am not sure his heart isn't in the right place and the right situation might work.

I don't think it's laughable to call him a top 10 player. Doug Collins, commentator for NBC and soon to be coach of the Wizards, says in terms of talent, Rasheed is definately top 5.

I don't know whether he's top 5 or top 10 or whatever, but you can certainly make a strong argument for him... if you don't think so, then you haven't watched him enough. He's got so much versatility it's unbelievable. If he could get his act together, he'd be a terrific player.

Talent and 50 cents will get you a cup of coffee when you're on the bench with two T's.

    EXACTLY
If you wanna see an example of what Smitty
    could be to this team

LOOK AT TERRY PORTER IN SAN AN
    He's almost a Super Sub
    Consistant and provides
    Veteran Leadership

    What is Smitty's contract like?

    I say go after him
Smitty is 6'8 So he is SF size

I mean if we stay intacted
    and Add Smitty and Battier
    We have a Offense/Defense combo
    at SF
    and still have LANGHI

    PG - Steve/Mooch
    SG - Mobley/Colson/Smitty/Walt
    SF - Smitty/ Battier/Langhi/walt
    PF - Moe/KT/Collier
    C - Hakeem/Collier/Cato

IMO not a bad line up at all.
    This is considering Mo Resigns
    Shanderson leaves and
    Hakeem resigns

I really like Steve Smith, but I have to question his ability to play the SF position. I just don't think he can. He's a SG tried and true. If Shandon goes elsewhere, though, he could definitely be useful.

A better Walt at 9 million a season == Steve Smith.

    Pass on that idea.
