One first round playoff series is nothing, they have to meet repeatedly before it can be considered a rivalry. And that reminds me, 3 of the last 5 wins out of the last 21 games came from that series, which makes the stat even more pathetic and even less of a rivalry. I'm going to worry about PHX and SA before I even think about the Rockets being a rivalry. But I have to admit, Mavs-Rockets games are always fun when both teams are healthy, and not just because Rockets keep losing, '"lol'"

Then watch games of the other NBA teams. How come there is no thread on PHX beating Orlando? Where's the thread on Denver beating Indiana? Toronto beat Chicago by 30 points, where's that discussion going on? Do you see where I'm going with this? I'm not the one who's trolling. Doesn't it get really irritating when you see the same Rafer sucks thread or YOF's posts in the GARM on a regular basis. I mean, this is the Blazers for crying out loud. What are you worrying about so early on in the season? "OMG THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE, THE MAVERICKS LOST..." How about just make one official Mavericks 2007-2008 thread and post whatever junk you want in there whenever the hell you want. It seems like that's the only other NBA team you care about....

Yes, the Mavs are humans and will slip up now then but still a minor upset is still an upset. There are threads about other teams as well. Believe it or not, basketball doesn't revolve around the Mavericks. Go Rockets!!! That's all that matters in the Basketball world!! If I pull for the Mavs, Spurs, Lakers, Celtics, etc. it's because I want something from them; and that is for them to beat they guys who might be in the standings in front of the Rockets. Or because they are playing in a playoff game and they suck; and I'd much rather the Rockets play the sorry team. So there ya'll go!!! I don't care an Iotta about Dallas winning losing etc. Makes no difference to me, I'm all about what benefit do the Rockets get!

How can you like a team that has a 7-footer thats has to be the biggest-p*ssy in the history of the NBA! I live in Los Angeles so that whole Dallas-Houston rivalry isn't the reason I hate the Mavs. There are two particular reasons I hate them: 1. Dirk! He needs to grow some balls and get in the low block and push people shorter than him. How can you let Matt Barnes, Stephen J, and Barron Davis punk your ass around like that? I have always said (even when you guys had Nash) and will always say it, Dirk needs to grow some balls or you will have ZERO titles with this squad! 2. Michael Finley's and the damn refs cheated us in 05! How can the ref be so blind as to not see him 20 feet off the court?! Worst call in the NBA! That was our serious and we got screwed, and all because if the ref had made the correct call, Cuban would have cried non-stop to the NBA and media about Yao's "illegal picks!"

Not really a Rivalry......hmmm.. I guess Golden State wouldn't consider you a rivalry either considering the way they've beat you all lately (excluding a couple days ago, but they can attribute that to not having SJax)
