    1) Luis Scola -- love his effort, consistency, hustle and skill, not to mention his CLUTCHNESS

    2) Dikembe Mutombo -- whats not to like? why are we not playing him again? How can the heart of a team not get minutes??

    3) Yao Ming -- hard work pays off and Yao knows everything about hard work

    4) Von Wafer -- talented young man, wish they wouldnt forget about him on offense when Artest and Tmac are on the floor

    5) Ron Artest -- this man plays hard... he would be ahead of Wafer if it wasnt for the "dribble-dribble out of the offense" thing

    6) Carl Landry -- great backup for Scola, but not a low post presence yet. Why announcers have been trying to sell him as such beats the hell out of me

    7) Shane Battier -- competent and smart, but still not 100% back

    8) Brent Barry -- same as Battier, at least he is starting to hit his shots

    9) Rafer Alston -- sometimes you love him, sometimes you hate him. Im pleasantly surprised by his defense lately

    10) Aaron Brooks -- has lost all his aggressiveness and desire to attack the rim, this is one man in serious need of a confidence boost

    11) Chuck Hayes -- love his defense but i wish most of his minutes would go to Deke unless the opposing center does nothing but park at the 3 point line

    12) Tracy McGrady -- i would forgive him all his issues if he would just learn to pass the freaking ball and get himself open by moving without the ball

    13) Joey Dorsey -- dont know enough to say anything about him

    14) Luther Head -- nice fellow but should be traded

My favorite players on the Rockets are Von Wafer and Luis Scola, because they play all out. I like Scola's consistency, energy, and committment. I love to watch Von Wafer's athleticism. I enjoy watching Artest, I like his toughness and energy. When Yao is aggressive, I really like watching him play. When he loafs, I don't. Same with TMac. When TMac is really bringing it, he is something. When he is lazy and jacks up jumpers, he isn't. Battier seems like a super nice guy, but I don't enjoy watching him play, glue guy or not. I keep thinking of Rudy Gay. When Brooks is cooking he is fun to watch, but not much cooking now. I don't enjoy Hayes or Rafer, bad things waiting to happen. I like Landry when he is fully involved. Barry is good when he is hitting shots. In the last ten years, Bob Sura is my favorite player.

In regards to your sig, how do you play? I'm just curious, because I've found that most people who have a good record just fast break and dunk all game. I like to set up plays and try to get a realistic basketball experience. So sick of all the Kobe/Lebron to the rack players though.

That's the first thing I thought when I read this thread. I understand how a fan could be fed up with the fact that we still have not went anywhere with him, but any Rockets fan knows that there is nothing more he could have done personally in the playoffs to get us there. He gave it his all and got no help. Now he has help, but is losing talent. Hopefully the combo is still enough to get us somewhere.

Seriously, I don't know how we're doing these ratings, but from a personality/work ethic stand point I don't know how anyone could be placed over Battier.

But yeah, I agree, this will turn into a TMac hate thread, with everyone claiming that anyone who rated TMac high is not really a Rockets fan, just a TMac fan, and everyone who rates him low... well they're just plain hating.

I ranked people by who my favorites are. As far as who i like as a person best Deke has to be the top guy. The man is a true humanitarian and an ambassador for his country.

quiksilver and rocketfan21, about 25 or so people posted without much discussion before you two clowns came along and said this is a T-Mac bashing thread. It is not, so go away.

If anything, this thread actually shows that (despite the small sample size) many people still have T-Mac in their top 5 of favorite players - sometimes, it did not seem that way in recent months.

Why do I love Artest so much? Simple. I was at the Heat game, and I moved down. Artest was on the sidelines, and I watched him. Aside from Deke, he was the one most into the game who wasn't playing. He participated in discussions, cheered his team on, and looked like he wanted to be there. During one timeout, a little kid was standing over to my right. Artest motioned for the kid to come over signed his shirt, gave him a hug, had a picture taken, and sat down with the kid on his lap. I don't care what he did in the Palace; Ron Artest is a nice guy and a class act.
