Probably best to go in winter, then. Or early spring or late autumn. During summer, it is really full (and sometimes smelly).

i'm with Art on this....can't think of anywhere I wouldn't want to go. Even mean nothing small towns can be great for a day or two. And nature is almost always cool.

but in the spirit of the thread, I'll go with Australia. Simply because it's so bloody far away. I'm sure it's great -- and I expect I will eventually go there, but there are too many places that interest me more on the way there.

I thought Palm Springs would be a bit of a bore....but I was wrong. The canyons nearby, Joshua Tree and the little towns that have kitsch 50's decor, that isn't kitsch, but rather just the way thing are were all great to see.

Not sure if these are "popular" destinations..but I would not want to go anywhere in the Middle East...Iraq, Iran, UAE (Dubai), including Pakistan/Afghanistan area.

Would love to go to Turkey, Russia, or any Eastern European country...there's always been something mystic about that area that keeps drawing me.

Have fun in San Francisco and let me know when you save enough to own a car and not live in an over priced, bed bug infested apartment.

    Dead serious.

The only way I ever step foot in the state of Utah is if I am forced to.

Mount Rushmore. I picture it being in the middle of nowhere. Sure it may be "American" but it is just a big tourist trap to me. I could be way off here though.

To those who have experienced both Chi and NY is there much of a difference other then the people? I mean as far as feel. They both 'look' similar. Crowded, buildings, people, full of life.
I live in Chi so what do people think of NY?

I drove through Utah 2 weeks ago, it sucked. But I made surei wore my Drexler jersey and got enough dirty looks to make the trip worth while.

I hate to even leave my house. So, pretty much anywhere outside of the inner loop.

It's too bad the Jazz are in Utah because it is a pretty cool state. Just outside of Salt Lake City there is some of the greatest skiing in the World and you can even take a city bus to some of the resorts. Southern Utah has some amazing national parks, Bryce Canyon, Zion and Lake Powell.

I am planning a trip right now to go Zion National Park next month.
