When I worked at Astroworld I ate at Popeyes at least 4/6 days. 3 piece white with cajun rice. I was like those old men who have the same job for forty years always eat lunch at the same time and always have the same meal.
Man, I just might be having Popeyes tonight too! Three piece spicy with red beans and rice, Miller High Life and the baseball game. Life is good. And rednecky.
No, no, no. Let me tell you something. When I find something I like I stick with it. From 1973 to 1982 I ate the exact same lunch everyday. Turkey chili in a bowl made out of bread. Bread bowl. First you eat the chili then you eat the bowl. There's nothing more satisfying than looking down after lunch and seeing nothing but a table.
The same lunch, every day for 9 years? You ARE a freak. Some people are just wired differently. I could never eat the same meal twice in the same week. But I used to work with a guy who would have the same lunch all the time. He would get this curry chicken bowl, and I remember a four week span when he ate it 17-18 times.
I like Popeye's spicy chicken strip po' boy. I may get one now. They don't give you many fries though. It's somewhat of a gip.
Grandy's is still around in DFW, we ate there a couple of months back. It was, bleccchhh.... I actually remember it being better than it was that time. The sweet tea and rolls were good though. You people keep eating Church's nuclear wings........you're going to grow a third hand.
When I went to Cal there was this place called Kim's Burritos. Yes it was a Korean run burrito shop. They made a pretty decent standard burrito excpet that they put juliened carrots in their burritos. What was even funnier was that it was right next to Bongo Burger that was a burger chain run by Persians. Their Kabob burger was a specialty. As a sidenote I'm not surprised that Asians are making cajun food because there's a lot of similar flavors. My dad is from Hong Kong and is sort of a picky eater. He mostly like Chinese food particularly Southern Chinese but he also likes cajun food too. I guess its all the rice, seafood and spices.
I do the exact same thing with Popeye's Spicy Chicken. I just eat it straight our of the fridge and nothing could be better.
my wife's fried chicken is the best. As far as fast food chicken goes I'd say popeyes has a edge over KFC based on breast size alone...
