What if McHale reads CF and trolls Lin fans on purpose by randomly pulling Lin out in the fourth quarter
Yes. Pop didn't just sit around and watch his team play lackadaisical. He got in their asses. When that didn't work, he got on the ref's ass. He even got in McHale's. He picked up his intensity before that tech; so did the Spurs. I think McHale has done WAY better than many people are willing to give him credit for; but, Pop does things right. I don't care if he complains or whatever. He is a winner. He doesn't just sit around and watch things play out. He makes things happen and it almost helped the Spurs over come a 23-point deficit.
I remember Greg smith dunking on ibaka one time, and just looked at him, got a T. If that was Greg Smith? I wonder if he would still be in the league
Same reason why Jeremy started shooting lights out on 3s after James88 made a thread. Same reason why Harden has been racking up assists. Same reason Howard shot out to the media to ease up on the starter minutes. Coicidence? I think not.
possibly, but there was no intentional soda spill and no blatant broken rule, so I think McHale just gets a warning. Great to see the Rockets put up such a solid game against the WC's best. Im proud of them and like the direction this tam is heading. Pieces are falling together and the team is gelling bit by bit.
don't see how he gets fined for it. he was in the coaching area and it's his right to stand right there. just not good coaching etiquette but whatever lol
It was the end of the 2nd Half. And the Rockets increased their lead by another 7 to start the third. If it had any affect, maybe his whining got all those horrendous officiating calls for his team. Is that it? Oh, and Popovich lost the game by doing Hack a Howard. McHale outcoached him in the end simply by not overcoaching and sticking to his game plan. Pops loses again, just like he lost Game 6, by overcoaching.
From this clip, it's hard to tell for me what harm was done by McHale's action. He seems to be caught standing to the right of Duncan as Duncan prepares to make the inbound pass, but as the ball is dropped, McHale tries to make it to the other side of Duncan as if to get out of the way. Or maybe something's missing in this clip.
There was no harm done. Pop was pissed because his team was losing and had pissed away an entire quarter of basketball with bad defense and poor intensity, and then he sees McHale doing this funny little psych-out move of walking in front of Duncan and standing next to him while he inbounds and it was something convenient for him to scream about. I think Bullard said on the broadcast that McHale had said something to Duncan, too, but it wasn't evident on the video. Just McHale being the old-school ex-player that he is, never ashamed to exert a little bush-league intimidation.
McHale looks like he's been bad to the bone since the pregame interview. http://www.flickr.com/photos/110276005@N06/11146878876/
