Even if you hate the spurs, it's literally impossible to hate Pop.

No it's not, you need to try harder. I like Duncan but hate the rest of the Spurs including Pop.

I have no hate for any of the Spurs. They are done nba team that's doing it right and they always develop their players to their fullest potential.

No, it's impossible to hate coaches like Rudy Tomjanovich. Dictators, not so much.

Not David Robinson ... :p He was always expected to be better than Hakeem.

but seriously, this is as much myth as fact. Pops did a great job with Parker. He couldn't have done it better. Duncan helped Parker greatly, as well. I think what you mean to say, and everyone else is not "develop," but utilize. They trade for players who fit their system well. Diaw is a prime example. Richard Jefferson was a failed experiment though. Same with getting Michael Finley. Looks like they learned not to go for the big FAs.

Also, as a anecdote about how stupid Spurs fans are, for years Spurs fans were b****ing about how Pops wasn't using Tiago Splitter correctly. He still hasn't reached any potential that people expected when he came into the league. I'll also give that to Pops vs the stupid Spurs fans expecting Splitter to replace Duncan, lols.

If the Spurs weren't in our division they would probably be my second favorite team.

I guess its not hate I just envy their ways, the way they develop players, scouting (didnt they have the rights to Scola), consistent winning. Salute to them.

    This.

I don't hate the Spurs, that is reserved for The Jazz, Lakers and Mavericks.
They play basketball the right way and Tim Duncan embodies Hakeem's mantra of Stay Humble, Stay Hungry. I wish the Rockets were more like them and had the same record of success.

Yep, I'm the same way. What Pop and Buford have built and maintained there is pretty damn impressive.

Curious to see how long Pop sticks around on the bench once their core retires.

I see a lot of people are coming out of the closet. Clutch should re-brand the website with a Spurs theme, a lot of folks would be happy it seems.

Wouldn't blame him for retiring after that. How long's he been coaching anyways?

He has a great sense of humor, similar to Coach McHale but Pop can actually run plays.

Imagine what he would do with Harden on his team.

Nice job with the Marx-Lenin rep, but for full hate you probably should have gone with Stalin-Beria.
