Let's hope it's not poor constructed AND poorly coached team. We already know that organization suffers from poor ownership, literally and figuratively.
Steph is 100% now with GSW, so why are they still fighting just to get into playoffs? Wiseman, Draymond, Wiggins, Oubre, Looney not enough talent to support Steph? Imagine Harden surrounded by those very same players. That would be top 4 team.
Rockets were NOT mediocre with Harden, that is far from truth. And the Rockets right now are so far below mediocre we are literally one of the 3 worst teams in NBA. Bottom 3, let that sink in. And I see it getting worse. A rook will not make this team better overnight unfortunately. The losing will continue for years.
I don't even put in the effort to find working streams to watch the games anymore. If the ones I find that very moment don't work, oh well.
You’re right a rookie won’t make us better overnight but it will start the process of development which is what we need now.. it may take a few drafts but we need to start ASAP instead of picking 14th for the next decade
Bro we are hard core bricking wide open 3s and wide open layups. Can’t blame coaching for that... not saying Silas is great either
Rockets with 2nd worst offense in NBA is not just mediocre it is incompetent. Silas is supposed to be an offensive genius. The bar for an offensive genius must be higher. If Wood being injured is reason this team is so inept then how does that explain Wood only averaging the 4th most shots on the team behind Wall, Dipo and even EGo?
I’m 100% sure it is both poorly constructed and coached. Makes sense that if you have an awful owner he is not going to pick spectactular coaches. He went cheap and welcome to our very cheap and lousy coaching staff. JB Bickerstaff ran circles around us the other night....what is left to say.
One more point to the bad ownership and coaching: We are dead last in three point shooting , yet we hoist the second or third most per game in the NBA. Bad ownership for getting us no goo three point shooters AND bad coaching for continuously making game plans centered around a severe weakness. Silas is the perfect assistant, as he is a quiet, player friendly person....head coaches are usually the exact opposite.
2-29 from 3 tonight so far and shooting under 25% on wide open 3s in last 10 games. Yet y’all blame the coach who plays create the wide open shots. it’s a talent issue not a coaching issue
You are framing it far simpler than it is. It's not about "wide open 3's" and "wide open layups". It's about where the shots originate (best position for each player to hit high percentage shots, pass location to the player (too low, high, out of rythm etc), in the flow or a set shot? We are failing on so many levels here it's mind boggling. Harden was very, very good at judging the pass location (both to the hands and position on the court). A lot of players can get wide open looks and STILL usually miss. There is much more to it than that. I would add positioning for a rebound on a missed 3 - we don't do that basically *at *all.
Silas has had to put up with a lot of crap/injuries/etc, but that doesn't mean he should escape blame either. He's done a terrible job with this team.
Starting Back Court Wall 4-16 field 0-5 3ptrs 5to -33 Ego 1-10 field 0-5 3ptrs 2to -20 Rest of Starters Patton 3-4 field 1-2 3ptrs 2to -10 House 2-11 field 0-6 3ptrs 2to -26 Tucker 0-1 field 0-1 3ptrs 2to -28 Think it is time to tinker with the Starting Lineup Replace Tucker with Tate Replace House with NWaba Rocket River
Did you see wall in the first quarter tonight literally missing a wide open auto and then the D leaving him the next possession while Daring him to shoot? We were 3 for 37 tonight from three. It is that simple right now because of how inept our shooting is
All of the starters selling the "we're tanking" role except Patton, who is trying to catch someone's eye. Kinda obvious though
