Hmmm, someone is having a bad day.....

I hope Yao skips this meaningless game. It's bad enough that he has to play in the ASG and now this BS game. C'mon. Give Yao a break.

    Good grief!

The All-Star game is for the fans, and that's who pays their salaries. Almost every player in the league WISHES that he could play in either game, where they are honored as being the cream of the crop in the best league in the world.

It is an honor. Yao is a man of honor. I can't imagine him NOT wanting to play, and doing his best.

He has made comments about this as a joke, and self-deprecating humor. I can't believe any of you are taking him serious.

Yao should tell the NBA: "The average worker in America has his vacation time. The ASG weekend is my vacation time. I have the right to do whatever I want during my vacation time. So back off."

Yao, to become the next most dominating center, you'll have to learn some attitude from Shaq. ;)

Doesn't it seem a little beneath Yao to play in the rook-soph game? The guy is a bona fide all-star already. Seems like that game is the junior varsity all-stars.

Isn't it the first time for the NBA to allow players to play in both games?

yep, but with all the training and closely scheduled games he should be accustomed to playing these two. And as someone else pointed out earlier, its not the same as a regular game, I dont see him spending more than 5 minutes on the court at a time.

so true. on the other hand if he doesn't get voted in or/and picked he'd feel left out and disappointed. this is an honor and also a recognition.
