Bonzi 1-7 3 TOs tonight in loss to Hornets....I thought he was a Spurs killer? One word to describe Bonzi: overrated.
I know you're feeling good about Bonzi and want to be the great prognosticator of doom, but he was the one who quit on the team last year. He wasn't dropped- he quit. He quit like a dog. By phone. He didn't have the balls to be a man and quit face to face. As for his role on the team, we have players who rebound and shoot better who can replace him. May as well use him as a chip to get a back-up point since Brooks seems to have hit the rookie wall.
I appreciate his efforts this year, but based on last year's debacle - i got no love for the guy. If RA leaves at somepoint, who's to say he wouldnt revert to the same overweight malcontent he was with JVG. You gotta evaluate talent on their entire body of work (ie rafer), not just the highlights. Good luck, Bonzi, i wish things had gone differently, but you reap what you sow.
its not even that he is overrated. He is a heck of a player and has some great talents, he is and always has been inconsistent.
Bonzi loves the team but he loves the money more, period. He'd stay in Kings if it was about winning.
What is the purpose of a message? The message come on the 4th win in the NBA finals. No need for a statement either...you're basically telling other teams to play harder...I'd rather that we fly under the radar...c'mon now...
