Investment bankers thinking they are important. Now that's funny. I thumb through their offering memorandums in about 10 minutes -- max. It takes the bankers 4-5 weeks to produce these books. If I'm interested, the bankers will then spend the next few months arranging conference call dial-in numbers, performing mindless excel gynastics, and chasing down answers to questions that I ask.

When you make it in finance, you have investment bankers working *for* you. Until then, you are a trained monkey serving at the behest of a client. I can say this after having worked at the top of the banking mountain.

I don't know about that. I'd have to say the 70's were worse then the 80's, IMHO. My line has always been the only good things to come out of the 70's was Tang, Star Wars and Dark Side of the Moon.

HAHAHa... this sounds very familiar... and I think he was in banking too, or was it “murders and executions..” I should know better to feed the troll, but this is too good to pass up..

 

I'm going to go Frank Castle if I see any more PINK f'ing polos with the collar popped. And the g.d. raybans with the neck band. I got no problems with the 80s coming back, but this was the fashion style of tools even back then.

You know, this thread had such potential to be stupid, funny and it TOTALLY lived up to my expectations. Unfortunately, it jumped the shark when people started arguing about who was cooler and made more money investment bankers or finance guys.
