Remember Marc Gasol got into shape for his contract year in order to dump that toilet of a city Memphis, TN for a better location. You pay for skinny Marc Gasol now and you'll live with a fat Marc Gasol for 4 years.

Dwight is in shape every year.

Gasol is better, but his contract is expiring, so nah.

In a hypothetical world where this would actually happen? Yes. Gasol can shoot, pass, and, um, look at that free throw percentage disparity, which is probably worth it on its own. And he was DPOY just a couple years ago, so he's no slouch there. Rebounding might suffer a bit, but offense would improve.

Not gonna happen, so we'll need to keep Dwight healthy and play to his strengths, and if we do that, we'll beat the Gasols.

    All bogus BS threads.

The Rockets are not going to trade Howard for anybody, so are the Grizzlies Gasol.

If you say who is better so far this season, Gasol is better. But to trade between those two? ****ing no. Why? Team chemistry and reputation.

Dwight is still getting it done without many touches. Gasol would not be as effective in our offense because he's going to have to run the floor and give up touches to Harden. You'd see those point and assist totals come down for him.

I'd love to have a center that shot +80% from the FT line but I think Dwight is far more effective in our system.

Umm Gasol is the most recent Defensive Player of the year. He won it just LAST YEAR. What Dwight did was years and years ago.

Ummm in a heartbeat. Marc would be lethal with his range and d-mo in the post. Plus he actually steps out and defends shooters. Too bad Memphis would never in a million years move marc for dwight

I'd do it. Marc is also an excellent defender. He isn't a liability at the free throw line. He is a far superior passer and he doesn't demand to be a focal point of the offense.

BTW all of these threads are pointless. We can't trade Dwight and there's not a player that we'd get back straight up for him that would make us better. I wouldn't trade cousins or marc for dwight and neither would their teams. Everyone else he's better than

Why Dwight just cant play to his strenghts like almost any other great player do?

You almost never see any other great player insisting on doings things he cant do well, and not doings things he can do well... and Dwight is doing that night in night out

Marc Gasol and Cousins are arguably better centers so far this year....

    BUT

When Dwight's post game is going, no other center can close to how dominant Dwight can be.

Problem is Dwight needs to do that consistently. It seems his post game gets going only when he is constantly fed throughout the game to let him get into a groove.

It's kind of like Arian Foster for the Texans, they play better as the game goes along as long as they are fed the ball.

Dwight has never truly been dominant. when you say dominant you think shaq gtf out of myway the ball is going in. Dwight at best had one of those seasons in Orlando. Otherwise he's always just been really good but not dominant. 18ppg is around his averages and that's not dominant.

Can we stop with this? Jesus.

And no. Marc is good but Dwight is a better fit because he's a stronger rebounder and at least as good on defense. We don't need Gasol's offense as much as Dwight's rebounding.

Healthy Dwight is better, as we saw in last year's playoffs
