    A lot of homers.

Barring any injuries, Luka is a franchise player. Crazy that the No's are winning lol.

    I was being sarcastic buddy.

Of course I'd give up Jalen for Luka. Even though I think Jalen is more fun to watch. Because ya Luka is 5x more impactful.

Hypothetically I'd be willing to give up 2 of any combo of Green, Amen and Sengun. But not all three.

But he is injured right now and reportedly a drunk. There is definitely something behind this. Either Doncic is a big risk or the NBA is pulling some more of their shenanigans.

Ime with Luka would end 2 ways - either he gets in shape and starts playing D and became a monster

or he pouted, refused to get in shape, refused to resign and we end up taking a L twice

Not saying it's the same but it reminds me of when the Patriots cut Aaron Hernandez out of nowhere.

Utah was involved in the trade, so why didn’t they do that?

It's not homerism. Some of us watch both sides of the ball. Doncic totally sucks on defense and averages about 9 more points and a couple more of assists than Sengun and starting line-up Amen. Both are younger with more upside, both are hugely better on defense and rebounding, and don't come with the obvious health risks and possibly alcohol problems (although I don't know that is true). There is something that caused this trade. I don't believe for a second it is just AD's defense.

More upside than luka? That’s insane. There’s almost a 0% chance either of them will be as good as luka. You can say you don’t want him for whatever reason but it sure as hell isn’t because those guys will be on his level.

Massive overpay. He only plays one-side of the ball. So you are trading two 20 points per game and guys that average a few less assists and play defense for 28 points and 8 assists. You could make an argument for one of them, I wouldn't, but it is more reasonable, especially if the one is Jalen. If it was Jalen, I still wouldn't give up more than 3 picks or so. Doncic has to be high risk for some reason for Dallas to make this trade.

Again, you are only watching one side of the ball. Amen is going to be at Luka's level from an overall game perspective as early as next year and you don't have to worry about paying him 50M for another 3 years or knee problems or drinking problems. I think Luka is an amazing offensive talent, but Amen will be a perennial defensive player of the year candidate while averaging near a triple double at some point soon. By the way, Amen completely shut down Doncic the last time they played.

You think NEXT season amen will be a top 3-4 player in the league? Come on man, that’s ridiculous.

Typical CF overvaluing their own. :D

“I will not trade PJ Tucker for Jimmy Butler! PJ is off limits!”
(LOL I voted ‘no’ in one thread, kinda sorta said yes in another.)

•When trade talks began, the 'Wolves front office demanded PJ Tucker and Eric Gordon as the starting point to any Jimmy Butler trade talks. The Rockets tried in jest to work around those demands, culminating in the offer set forth yesterday evening.

•“The best sense I have right now is that the Rockets would have to package Tucker with Eric Gordon and some level of draft compensation to convince Minnesota to send Butler to his hometown team.”

“25, too old, too fat. Already had the black Luka experience. Didn’t work then, won’t work now. DO.NOT.WANT.”

I’d try to keep Amen. Not sure if they’d want Sengun, given they have a few centers already. They can have anyone/everyone else.

I'd probably give up something like Jalen, Jabari, Tari and some picks. That's a lot, and way better than what Dallas got from LA. But Sengun and Thompson? Probably not. I think untouchable means untouchable with those two.

And actually, now that I think about it, I might not even give that up. The chemistry with this group is pretty special. Adding Luka could really impact that. I dunno. It might be best to ride or die with this group all season and see what happens.

No. I would've easily given up anyone else from the core though including Jalen.

Can you imagine Luka, Sengun and FVV traveling through Europe together eating everything.
    That would be cool

I believe I saw that they took on a $3M player for two second rounders. Basically, the type of deal I expect the Rockets to make, or the type that they are looking for. It makes me wonder if the Rockets were aware of this deal.
