You realize you're asking this to a bunch of people who would take medical advice from strangers on an online basketball forum, right?

If I ever have you or anyone else who is overweight as a patient it doesn't matter if you came in for a stubbed toe, at some point I'm going to try to address your weight issue. Being fat is unhealthy. Period. You seem angry that your doctors are trying to address the issue.

WebMD is terrible. You should be seeing your doctor every year for an annual physical. That includes a urinalysis and blood work done.

By the time you're symptomatic, it may be too late and there might have been something you could have done to preserve your quality of life.

Nope. Medical stuff is assymetric information to extreme: you've got an urgent, expensive problem that you have no idea how to fix; so you'll take all the help you can get.
