I'm indifferent. I think it could move the needle, but I also think the current team is still in the top 3-4 teams and a clear contender. If it was a straight up deal Anderson for Melo, I'd be okay with it. I wouldn't risk any other assets for him, though.
Arizas contract is up so you resign him for the min, trade Gordon, trade tucker, wade minimum, Lebron max, cp3 max with bird rights
A better thread, why does OP want to know? 1) OP is bored 2) OP is paranoid at no Melo trade news 3) OP is on summer vacation from school 4) All of above 5) Other
Ariza taking the minimum is just fantasy, c'mon bro... Wade taking the minimum is a fantasy as well Lebron's max will start at around 40 mil/yr. How are u paying him that without renouncing CP3's cap hold and losing his bird rights? CP3 and Lebron both making the max will mean that you're paying almost 80 mil/yr to 2 players. Then u still have Harden making 29 mil.
I don't necessarily want Melo but I don't totally hate him on this team. But I do want them to go ahead and make the deal so they can get the rest of the roster sewed up.
i put because he's better than ryno. i think as it stands we're a 60 win team. cp3 and tucker for bev and lou easily give us 5 more wins. adding melo for anderson puts us into the mid 60s. we'd have a punchers chance against gsw. i think we could take them to 5 or 6. if we could then move ariza,/ego next summer for 1 last piece we'd be serious contenders.
I think in order to make that dream work for atleast one year..... they will make the sacrifice neccessary.... all 4 of them.
Ohhhhhh no buddy... it would only be the beginning. Wait until the "Why did we get Melo?" And "Fire Morey for getting Melo" threads.
