God I can't believe you are seriously an idiot or just joking. I'm guessing you're just an idiot. As if DrudgeReport, a conservative ****ing website, would a real poll.
I thought for a debate on foreign policy, Obama fared pretty well overall. Being undecided, with a slight lean towards Obama , I have to say I did like McCain's points on cleaning up government spending and cost-plus contracts. That being said, McCain talks so much about reducing spending, but how about this war in Iraq John? If you want to reduce billions of dollars in debt, then you shouldn't have been so fired up to go into Iraq in the first place. Afghanistan is indeed where we should be if anywhere right now, not the ****hole that is Iraq. Obama articulates his points very well though and I think that's whats going to end up winning him a good deal of undecided voters overall. That being said, I'll definitely be watching the future debates to make up my mind one way or the other.
these polls with dems and conservatives are vastly biased. whoever voted for their nominee isn't gonna change now. the question is independents. all the polls regarding independents have obama winning, and winning quite handily. that's what matters. fox news, msnbc, drudge report have very biased readers/watchers. we shouldn't take their polls to judge who won the debate. from independent polls, obama won tonight. that's not a great thing b/c this election comes down to independents.
Because he has a valid point? It's useless to compare Kerry to McCain on Vietnam. You don't want to open that can up again do you? It's worm ridden. Just as useless as it is to try and act like this election is Bush vs. Obama. McCain wins this one... on his own, despite Obama trying to tie him into the Bush adminstration.
No, because he only recognizes the service and sacrifice of those who agree with him. It is a despicable and flatly unpatriotic and unamerican quality that BT has in spades.
Hypothetical example. McCain: I believe chicken soup is the best kind of soup there is. Obama: I agree with Senator McCain. McCain: Senator Obama may agree with me but I don't agree with him. Obama: You don't believe chicken soup is the best soup? McCain: I do believe that. Obama: So you agree with me. McCain: No.
the second you recognize a "valid point" from the "liberal" side, you come and find me. until then, hush.
Traditionally, these things are decided by polling, so by that measure, it looks as though Obama won handily. http://cnnwire.blogs.cnn.com/ Poll suggests Obama beat McCain Posted: 01:14 AM ET OXFORD, Mississippi (CNN) — A national poll of people who watched the first presidential debate suggests that Barack Obama came out on top, but there was overwhelming agreement that both Obama and John McCain would be able to handle the job of president if elected. The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey is not a measurement of the views of all Americans, since only people who watched the debate were questioned and the audience included more Democrats than Republicans. Fifty-one percent of those polled thought Obama did the best job in Friday night’s debate, while 38 percent said John McCain did the best.
I'll agree with this. While I give Obama the edge in the debate, I did come away with more confidence in McCain should he end up winning the election. I don't think the same will hold true regarding Palin after the VP debate.
You don't read much on here, do you? The burden of proof on this issue is on you. You made the claim. Until you can find that proof (which wouldn't be too hard at all with a little search), you hush... or better yet, keep blabbing. (seriously, what is the age limit in a debate these days?)
I think the reasons all of the legit polls are seeing good numbers for Obama is because most Americans are so fed up with the Repubs that they are disposed to vote Obama even though they still had questions about him. This debate, I think, answered many of those questions. You can almost sense the relief of people saying, "Yes, OK, I can vote for this guy now." I expect the Repubs to really step up the smears and personal attacks, but I think most Americans who watched the debate won't be nearly as open to the kind of doubts those base attacks normally create. That said, the best performer of the night was clearly Biden. I caught him on three different networks and he happily eviscerated McCain, pumped up Obama, and was ferociously on message. That Palin was nowhere to be seen (and that the CNN folks made a few snide comments about it) accented his dominance. He was by far the best spinner out there, because he backed up his assertions with facts and humility and humor. And I say this as no great fan of Biden.
