Poll: What Should Be the Staring Lineup After the Break

So Green should be passing to Brooks instead of taking all of those 3s himself. If that were happening, I’d probably feel differently about both players.

 

Let's not forget Jalen Green turns up after the ASB. Has for 3 years straight.

Probably better off playing him as 6th man until the ASB, then hand him the keys!!

 

Jabari will get there. I'm assuming we'll all be happy with where he ends up. High floor at this point. Don't see him being dealt.

To me, FVV was always destined to occupy capspace in a deal for a star.

Agreed, Brooks is indeed a valuable player towards the bottom line.. winning games. And, that contract has become a good deal.
Still, not off limits in the right deal.

As to Jalen, what can I say....I still want Booker.

There’s nobody to move. Tari and Amen are the only two you’d consider moving to the starting lineup and neither of them is a reliable shooter or creator. Jalen, as inefficient and spotty of a shooter as he is, has that spot locked down. Bari is playing very well defensively and his shot is coming back. You want to move Fred to the bench?

the lineup isn’t changing this year without a trade or injury.

 

Two things: I'd like to see Amen at least occasionally start so he can lock up the opponent's best player from the jump. As it is, he enters the game about the time that player is rotating out. It feels like Amen, and Tari for that matter, often spend their time against lesser players until late in the game, when it becomes do or die. Second, I wish Ime was quicker to recognize who's on a heater and who needs a quick reset on the bench.

That said, what I really wish is that our coaching staff were more fluid with the starting lineup, hunting matchups or riding hot hands from the previous game. Maybe seeing who's feeling it in practice, when they have the luxury of practicing. The only guys I think should be starting every game are Fred and Alpi, so I didn't vote. Obviously, Ime isn't wired that way.

Coaching staff has a different opinion on Cam though.

 

It's interesting this year, as we're headed to 50 wins, but this certainly isn't the finished product.

Amen, Sengun, and Jabari stay, but...

..depending on Amen's development out top....

We add another athletic guard that can handle the ball a bit and shoot it from downtown...like Booker.

Then we have flexibility...

Perhaps, another long 2/3 swingman..that plays both ways, but is elite on O.
