i agree with the idea of broadcasters shouldnt be allowed to interview during half and right after i mean come on alot is on the players' mind (or should be atleast). so if theyre gonna interview the players at those times the broadcasters should bear the responsibility of what said. and by the way did anyone else notice we got the same ref in sacto not calling fouls as in in the phx game?
The Rockets dont need to earn respect from the refs, nor should any other team. The refs are trained to call fouls when falls are commited, not to give some player special treatment, or give respect to any team.
Yeah, here's the link to the espn story, no suspension, good news! http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1765609
haha, goes to show, once again, that francis may be an idiot to cuss on tv, but no-one hates him as much as they hate shaq, the king idiot-prankster. my guess is they want the rockets to make the playoffs this year, lets not disappoint them.
Yes the refs are biased. It is totally obvious as even a casual Rockets fan. C'mon Yao fouls out...but only gets to the line himself 3 times? BUT...the thing is all the complaining does ABSOLUTELY no good. In fact, as others have pointed out...it only makes it worse!!!! If you whine and cry all game it not only takes you out of the game...it wastes energy. The refs dont want to hear it...and they dont believe you after a while...they just think "Oh thats just the Rockets being whiny again" Make no mistake...the Rockets must not only play against the other team, but the refs. They must overcome those calls by stepping up their game that much more. Stop worrying about the terrible officiating and just play the game!
I think it's a head coach's job to say to the players: "It's your job to play the game. It's my job to complain to the refs."
Francis did the right thing...of course cussing on tv was tasteless, but we have to get the league's attention somehow. Last several games opponents have manhandled yao without getting calls yet they keep calling silly fouls on us in the heat of the game, i think most people would do what stevie did
You know what I find scary? The fact that Steve saying "bullsh!t" on air cost him more money than I've had cumulatively throughout my entire short life.
