Cassell greatest PG in our history????

I guess it depends how you define it. To me, he wasn't here long enough at ALL to deserve that kind of mention. I love the guy...but come on. Greatest ever in just 3 years?? 2 of which were 3/4 seasons by games played? No way..

Murph was the best of those guards, but he was a 2

Has to be between Lucas and Sam

    I'd had to say Lucas

They've got Allen Leavell who was the back up PG in the 1986 run to the Finals but not Robert Reid who was converted to PG and started.

imo, it means who was the most talented pg to play for Houston, not which pg achieved the most for the rockets.

Never saw Lucas play, so I would have to side with Cassell as well.

I'm sure he'd take a break from the YMCA to collect another buyout from the rockets.

Not a good poll, but Rafer has earned that 7%. He appears to be a nice guy, but he will absolutely do this team in come playoff time. Three or four great games out of 82, not going to get it. I can finish around the basket better than he can.
It is tragic for a NBA player to be that bad from 2-3 feet. Horrible. If the Rockets had a "dead eye" shooter at the point, this team would seriously threaten Dallas. With Yao back, our chances will greatly improve, but with a shooter on the perimeter, they would sky rocket.

This has never been a team known for point guards, but my money would be on Lucas (Senior). He was the best pure point guard the Rockets ever had.

Cassell, hands down...Why? His "ice in his veins" style of play both as a rookie and a sophmore were invaluable to our back-to-back championships!

If you're looking for defense then Mitchell Wiggins should be on the list. He was one of best defenders in prior to cocaine doing him in.
