    not one bit, Padgett??

    [chuckling pause]

So, do you hate the sacrilegious Celtics too after Kentucky's Pitino, Pierce and Walker turned them into a ugly, ISO, 3pt shooting team.

    [ironicly delicious laugh track]

ps: I just did a search at google for the phrase 'street popularity' that you put quotes around, and searched for that with the word 'NBA', then tried 'basketball'...

    [dramatic pause]

I got no hits concerning the phrase 'street popularity' used in the context of the NBA, much less as a reason "black personalities" are used to talk about the NBA playoffs.

Must be another subtle thing most American's don't comprehend....or maybe just don't type on the internet...another reason why you should stick to your "people skills away from your keyboard" rather than on.

The resurection of this thread is only to show that 63% here held there was a 0-25 chance we'd make a trade. Not bad, really.

That Google thing was brilliant. I think that's how the Supreme Court determines their decisions - taking out-of-context random phrases and running them in Google searches. I mean, if it doesn't pan out perfectly there, then it certainly isn't true. Obviously, I was dead wrong about the whole NBA-more-popular-with-urban-black-kids. Sorry for wasting bandwidth.

I don't care about Pitino's travails in Boston. I loved Pitino until he took the job at Louisville. It's no surprise that his efforts in the NBA were a failure since his primary focuses were on conditioning, discipline and defense. And that ridiculously antique notion of requiring players to listen to coaches.
