That actually doesn’t sound as bad as you’re painting it. I would love to have a very recent memory of a historic championship run and a ring to go with it.

End of the season or end of 2018 ?

Not so sure they give up now but I do believe he forces his way to his desired destination before the start of next season.

Why's it so crazy , he's done it before .... I think it might be crazy to think he wont jump ship.

If LeBron's made it clear to Cleveland he's out .... they'd be silly not to get some return on their investment even if it is a nickel on a dollar.

Anderson for Lebron sounds about right! I'd even throw in $50k to sweeten the deal if I was the GM

It is exactly this and far more delicate. This would be and has been 100% controlled by LBJ to CP3. Morey is not communicating with the Cavs. That would be stupid. This is about leverage and timing. Nothing is an accident. LBJ's interview the other day about the Griffin trade is likely 100% about this. I do not believe he or the Cavs have the balls to pull this off now. He would like to leave now but even he cannot withstand the criticism by everyone if he did that. I don't think the Cavs can weather it either even if this is the right move (a few months to define a team without LBJ and the value of IT as the centerpiece). It is an easier move in the offseason because they straight lose him for nothing and the asking price is less. He also is not Melo. He is not going to have some stupid Ryno trade holding up his future and the threat of multiple options for LBJ is more powerful. I am also 100% sure why the smoke from Cyberx is about that now. Morey knows he needs a 3rd team for any deal and better to do it now if possible. Uprooting his family in the middle of a school year, stress, is all too much to ask. Losing in the finals again also gives him the cover with a depleted team to blame ownership and Kyrie. Wasting a season is a horrible price for him but probably one he feels he just has to pay. Personally, I think he loses in the East and suffers that indignation before losing in the Finals. That may be a 50 win team but it is one hell of a broken thing. This year is not like the others. No defense at all. They rallied in past years around hitting 3s and shutting teams down. Not this time. I have this opportunity at 0.5% even though it would be the right move for him. It would be bold for damn sure.
