Lol... double down? I’m not Trump. I still don’t think much of him as a player but since he’s put together a few good games and his stock is higher, he could be a good trade chip. Do you think he would draw any interest in a trade if he’s sitting on the bench not playing? I still don’t see him sustaining success in the NBA, just my opinion. Good grief, the guy scores 16 points in one game all the sudden he’s a star in the making. Lol
Harty has a knack to be in someone's zone, like literally jump into where that person is supposed to stand. That's a skill not teachable.
Fxxk, he already can do that?! Burn this tape. Unleash his 3P in the playoffs. Code name poison Harty
I love watching this guy evolve, but I think it's very unlikely he's on the team in March. Going into the playoffs we don't need 3 backup centers and Tyson Chandler is one of the best backups in the league. Let's also not forget Nene, if he's still with us. I'm not sure if Nene's guarantee kicks in if he only plays 10 playoff games. I'm not sure what Nene has left but, he'll still be able to rebound and dunk, which basically all we ask of him anyway. Isiah is really exciting right now, but for me that excitement is for what we can get for him now. We have bigger holes to fill than the 5. Maybe if he continues to produce we could get a contributor and a pick. I mentioned wanting Bertans in another thread, but if Isiah keeps giving us 15 and 10 off the bench, maybe we could steal Bertans and a future 1st? The only thing that keeps Harty here is if he somehow gets PJ's minutes and starts knocking down the corner 3. He is very capable from what he's shown in the G-League.
FIFY But seriously, the problem with some of the folks here patting themselves on the back about Hartenstein is that they are apparently operating on the faulty premise that he has always been this good. He hasn't. He, like many 21 year old players, has worked on his game and his physique to improve and that work is starting to pay off. When he played last year it was clear he wasn't ready for NBA minutes and the Rockets weren't in position to gift him playing time. He went to the G League and wisely got his proverbial weight up and now he looks like he may be ready to consistently contribute at the NBA level. This is nothing new. Clint Capela, who also was...umm, not quite ready in his first NBA minutes, followed a similar path. He went to the G League, worked on his game, and came back with greater confidence and a better understanding of how he could contribute to the team. I'm as excited as anyone about what he's been able to show recently, but it's a product of his hard work to improve, not that he's always been ready and no one noticed.
he WAS READY back then...maybe even readier than now.... not everything is linear in the world although gotta admit i like the way you're thinking and you ve put up a good post
