Magnetic Pole Reversal is not pseudo science. It is going to happen. It has happened. Some scientists estimate the next reversal will be around 2012.. so.. time to buy up some real estate near the equator. everywhere else is gonna be.. cold.
Magnetic pole reversal isn't going to have much affect on climate since the Earth isn't changing its tilt. It will play hell on navigation systems though so your GPS might not be working and there might be a lot of confused birds and other animals trying to figure out where to migrate.
I'm surprised there are more mentions of the Mayan 2012 than the Christian ideas of the 2nd coming or rapture.
1. the word rapture isn't in the bible. it's bad theology....MY 2 CENTS!!! the image of the Bible is heaven coming to earth...redemption. not formless souls singing with harps. resurrected bodies...redeemed creation. the rapture is a creation of 19th century theology and would have been completely foreign to the early church or 1st century Judaism. 2. i think it's because Jesus didn't give a date that comes in about 4 years!

I agree, the rapture doesn't seem to have a strong foundation and I don't believe in it - but I still thought the Christian ideas would be mentioned more than the Mayan ones. I believe in the 2nd coming - but I'm not too worried about the details on how it's going to happen. I figure I've got enough on my plate trying to live a better life
McCain wins. Palin takes over. Russia has a border dispute with Georgia member NATO. Palin launches first as it is our absolute duty under NATO, so what can she do? Besides Palin is to be raptured. Russia launches. Nuclear winter. We have about 2-10 years left unless we can get Palin out of office.
