You would have a point if I was posting crazy opinions....like the world is ending...or the aliens are returning. No, but American prestige and hegemony doesn't have a very long projected life-span right now. And I would hardly call the collapse of a corrupt government the end of the world.
Hey maybe we should have a bet...if the world doesn't end in 2012.....then everyone that voted yes should have their sigs altered by those of us voting no. And Vice versa - of course if the ones voting yes are right, we would all be dead. DD
You can think about it till the world doesn't end, the only people who worry me are the ones who actually hope that the end is near. I mean, there's no magical end coming but if certain people were to be indoctr- er, convinced of it, that could be dangerous. Sayyyy world leaders? Ya know, simple folk, just like us with simple small town apocalyptic values? In their minds they'd be doing the right thing hoping for certain events or conflicts to come to pass.
As for the poll....I don't presume to know whether mankind will be here 10 minutes from now or 10 billion years from now...so just keep on keeping on.

In short, yeah, I think the world will end soon. There's too many problems going on in all parts of the world and the intensity of thsee problems is increasing. Pretty much everyone is turning on the Judeo-Christian faith and bringing about horrible changes. I think it will happen sometime during my lifetime.

People turned a lot harder on the Christian faith in the first 200 years or so of its existence. There has always been persecution...there always will be. Newspaper theology and prophecy has been wrong for a long time now. Even the writers of the NT felt the end was very near to them. "Thief in the night."
