If they finish the season - nba as a product may be over as we know. I hope players realize this that they won't build anything with that kind of money anytime soon
I hate to insult you people but i'm going to talk about the topic I voted ONE WEEK because the NBA and Players will realize that they still want to get paid ESPN wants to get paid, Players, NBA, Advertisers, Ball boys, Disney hotel employees, the people who fry eggs etc And that there's other ways to help get their message accross I could be wrong, but this is a prediction thread not how to save the world's problems thread @Os Trigonum
I don't think the season is over. Thanks for the topic and poll which is about the season. I'll gladly talk about it and not be shamed to talk about a different topic. @Batman Jones
Maybe. Minus the optics TNT would suffer and even lose more viewers by starting a lawsuit against NBA for this, let’s say TNT sues NBA. What then? That has very little impact to the players. Tin, I think the situation right now looms really large in the players minds. It’s not just some high school kids picking on an issue. They wouldn’t boycott the game for almost anything else I think. The magnitude of the accessory financial losses isn’t on their mind. To me it’s how much this situation means to them is the deciding factor whether they want to continue the season. As they say, there are things in life more important than basketball.
good point. Chris Haynes reported on TNT that many players do want to stay and complete their season. So I voted for a week. What did other people vote for? @Batman Jones
I still voted for a week because of what TNT said about the players wanting to say. Harden didn't want the season to end. It's only 2 player that want the entire playoffs to end, who happened to max players.
Imagine you are in a situation that is so personal to you, whatever it is and you just can’t function at job by not thinking of it. The other stuff almost doesn’t matter - you May quit the job or take a leave etc etc. To me it’s that for the players right now. I just think other stuff - like money and legacy is not on their minds right now.
If they really wanted it to end, they would be back in LA already... but you will hear, we want to play for our teammates and we will voice our opinion in diff ways etc.
