I don't want anything other than reasonable gun controls - I just think the frustration levels lead to this, that and the easy access to guns......

Well that is technically not true, I pray to God that he smite Donald Trump ASAP for the good of the world.

The Court (in April) knew the leak has happened and will soon be published by Politico.

Roberts tried to persuade Kavanaugh to save the constitutional right to abortion (reported by WSJ Editorial Board in April, before the leak was published).

The leak made what was difficult to near impossible.

Likely leaked by conservative to kill any chances of Roberts swaying Kavanaugh.

In a surprise to absolutely - no one - the leak bears a striking resemblance to a pattern of right wing extremists leaking favorable decisions to themselves so they can titter with anticipation

Hope on November 10 they were able to cope with happy memories

He'll face all kinds of consequences -

lol no he won't, he's the REAL VICTIM as usual. He'll be sure to tell us that in his latest nonpolitical speech to the Federalist society

    Poor guy!

    So should Alito resign?

"Mr. Schenck’s allegation creates an unusual, contentious situation: a minister who spent years at the center of the anti-abortion movement, now turned whistle-blower; a denial by a sitting justice; and an institution that shows little outward sign of getting to the bottom of the recent leak of the abortion ruling or of following up on Mr. Schenck’s allegation."

Has the public opinion of the Supreme Court ever been lower?

"The investigation focused on Court personnel - temporary (law clerks) and permanent employees - who had or may have had access to the draft opinion..."

Sounds like the Justices were not investigated. PR piece.

the leaker is most likely Elizabeth Deutsch, a law clerk for Justice Breyer

the Politico reporter who published the Dobbs opinion had previously attended Deutsch's wedding, and she has been involved in abortion rights issues as a professional

Literally no, get the **** out of here with this trash post.

We had "conservative shitposters try to whip up online mobs to attack their enemy law clerks" way back on page 10 ( @AroundTheWorld ) when "THE LEAK" was way more important than right wing fascists trying to enact a regime of forced births.

I guess because they feared - correctly - that being the party of forced births for rape victims - would be perceived as BAD by the vast majority of the American public and it would hurt them in November...like it absolutely did, your fears were well founded, @Commodore

    What happened since then?

    1. It came to light that Right wing **** poster judges like Alito were not only regularly yukking it up with their benefactors in the right wing anti-freedom wing, but leaking them the decisions they bought and paid for like Hobby Lobby in advance

*interlude GInny Thomas tried to commit insurrection and Clarence tried to help her get out of it*

    2. BIG JOHN Roberts commissioned a fancy, non FBI investigation of - the clerks but not the justices - and found nothing and said "meh, I'm not going to investigate the justices" because he's afraid of what he'll find, like Alito and Hobby Lobby.

So with all due respect, shut up. These clerks I don't believe are public figures, you guys should be careful. Don't want to end up with another Dominion Voting Machines situation.

God forbid anyone do basic research on the reporter's connections to those that had access to the Dobbs opinion

    Outrageous, I say!

perhaps Congress should just ask every justice and their clerks under oath about it

oh look, here's a Politico article coauthored by the Dobbs reporter and the husband of one of Breyer's clerks. That's what you might call a lead.

Ok can you do research on the clerks who had reasons to leak this for opposite reasons?

Don't you think this Clerk would know better than to link to a reporter they personally knew?

"no one would be that dumb" is never a good reason to ignore circumstantial evidence
