Since election day is just around the corner, I was just wondering what political party affiliation, if any, the people who post here had. Some people may obviously be for a certain party just by reading their posts, BUT I wonder if someone would surprise us all with their politics. 1. Democrat (registered/unregistered?) 2. Green (registered/unregistered?) 3. Independent (registered/unregistered?) 4. Libertarian (registered/unregistered?) 5. Republican (registered/unregistered?) 6. Socialist (registered/unregistered?) 7. Other (please specify...?) 8. None of your business!!! *btw/ I'm a registered Democrat. Anyone surprised?
I'm a Democrat that's happy to vote Republican or other if I believe that they're the best candidate (i.e. Kay Bailey).
If I had to pick it would be the Natural Law Party. Generally, I vote for anybody that reflects my thoughts the most. RR
Registered Republican. Although Independent is awfully seductive. Will be having my first voting experience this year so it should be cool.
unregistered Independent. I lean towarsds the Dems more often than not..but I have been known to vote Repub from time to time... It all depends on whether I feel the candidate in question seems to be for things I am for.. What is the point of registering? Would someone enlighten me to the benefits/disadvantages of being "registered" with one party or the other?
Registered Republican. Damned proud of it. I think we should cut down forests to make more space for gas guzzling SUV's. I think migrating whales should alter their paths to make room for more oil spills. OK, I am only kidding about the trees and the whales. But I agree with the Republicans more often than not. Daschle is the antichrist. Chance
I am a registered Republican, but I mostly just vote Republican to keep the Dems from winning. I am far more concerned with fiscal policy than social policy, although I would like to see abortion and the death penalty go down. If I thought they had a chance in hell of winning, I might vote libertarian or independent.
I am not sure, but I think you must register for a party to vote in it's primary, so as to keep ex. Republicans from making the Democrat candidate someone that has no chance of winning.
It's kinda like when you are a sex offender. You have to register so other folks know what kind of person you are. Oh wait, that is totally wrong.
http://www.bcmarijuanaparty.ca/ Over 50,000 votes in Spring 2001! 3.22% of the popular vote (not counting Florida).
Political parties suck. The food is usually sub par, there is NEVER any good booze, and all they want to do is ask people for money
I don't involved myself with political discussions very often on this BBS, but I lean towards Republican more than anything else, so that is what I voted for.
I have more important things to worry about. Politics are boring, ridiculous, and bring me not one ounce of joy. But it is fun to read all your political threads and arguments here. OK, they bring me exactly ONE ounce of joy.
I'm an other. I vote for canidates regardless of their party. Tell me which party meets my views... ANTI-Gun Control Pro-1st Admenment Pro-Second Admendment Pro-Choice Pro-Life Pro-Legalization Pro-Death Penalty Anti War on Drugs I believe strongly in personal freedom Pro States Rights Anti Big Govenrment Anti Affirmative Action Pro Military Anti Taxes Anti Big Business
Pro-life Socialist. I vote Republican though, because my convictions on that matter come before my ideology. But when the Revolution comes, Bush needs to get out of the way.
I would say Libertarian would best encompass your views. I am a little confused on how you can be both pro-choice and pro-life though, unless you are not referring to abortion on one of these points.
