Political Correctness led to terrorist attacks against Christians in Sri Lanka

The problem with social media censorship is it magnifies the actual extremists. It's not as though the extremists don't have some legitimate gripes, it's just they're hypersensitive and willing to go to extreme levels in order to achieve it. But their censorship models capture words, patterns etc, the problem here is the people who are the actual extremists and mean to say exactly what they say, will and do use coded language, slight turns of phrase etc in order to avoid detection, but those who are simply talking about the issue, not being part of the clique will be captured (social media has banned masses of muslims who said some capturable phrase but aren't extremist in any way shape or form).

For something like islamic terrorism, what's ended up happening is the people who share similar grievances but aren't actual terrorist inclined and would talk down violence, which are the most important people for these potential terrorists to hear (as they share the same in group affiliation) are the ones who would be wiped out, whereas the actual terrorists would just go on their merry way.

This is why for example richard spencer and david duke never get caught, they are cognizantly aware of what will be caught up and hence consciously avoid doing as such, but since we know who they are, and what they stand for, they can convey their message without actually saying it, and the same goes for islamic extremists.
