I'm not surprised by what occured. With that much of a cash flow coming in for your families income, you'd think he'd spend his free time alittle more well equiped for his future in both life and his basketball career. Goes to show some guys just don't give a (beep) about sticking sorely to basketball and making themselves better people.
Allen Iverson hasn't been convicted of a thing! "Police are still trying to determine whether the alleged incident actually happened, and no charges have been filed, the sources said." Give me a break, until the police determine that AI did this, then this is a stupid argument.
God forbid somebody thinks Iverson is a punk with a low IQ. What has he done to prove otherwise? He's 27 and he acts like a 14 year old(speaks like a 4 year old). He has been to jail and it looks like he might be going back(if this is true). He is a cancer to his team. Obviously, TheReason was being sarcastic in his first post. I wonder sometimes about people like you who are so defensive for no freaking reason.
Iveron's a cancer to his team? All he's done is carry them on his freaking shoulders. Without him they started the year 0-5, then he carried them to the playoffs. The year before he carried them to the Finals. He has a good point guard and a good defensive center. Other then that, he has nothing. Put anyone else in his position on that team, Kobe, McGrady, anyone, and they're not making the playoffs.
I proud to say these are plagerized but it got me through high school so it can't be all bad. On Allen "The Canswer" Iverson --- MVP - Most Valuable Pistolero --- If 10 guys were in a room and Iverson started firing... 7 of them would be safe. --- I wonder if the gun he had came equipped with a drum magazine? After all, he always has to get his minimum of 30 shots...
He hasn't, but he did commit a crime. I live in the suburbs of Philly, and on their Sports Radio, they were saying that right now the police are trying to decide what to charge him with, not whether he commited the crime or not, because they are certain that he commited a crime.
haha i was thinking about it, and can you imagine two guys saying "hmm, i'm bored... HEY I KNOW, LET'S MAKE UP A STORY THAT ALLEN IVERSON CAME IN HERE WITH A GUN!!!!! THAT WILL BE FUN"... i know not every accusation is true, but that's just really hard to grasp... what were they expecting to get out of it?
Franchise, why are you responding for The Reason? I don't believe he needs you are anyone else to comment for him/her. I merely made an observation when I asked what Iverson's IQ had to do with anything. Sounds like I touched a nerve with you regarding your real feelings as well as the hidden sentiments you and The Reason really have.
Police are seeking an arrest warrant for Iverson: http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/3630585.htm He was seen at the apartment complex. Doesn't sound too good for Iverson.
Yo rezdawg. The reason I think he's a punk is because he was convicted of maiming by mob, possesion of weed. Also because he is about to be convicted of aggravated and simple assault, reckless endangering of other people, conspiracy, possession of an instrument of crime, violations of the uniform firearms act, burglary and criminal trespass. He doesn't have a permit to carry a gun. And also cause doesn't care about practice. Is that enough to convince you that he is a punk and that I don't think he's a punk, just because of what reporters say? And oh, yeah, his rap album too. Talking about rapping women, killing cops, killing gays, and other crimes and aweful stuff doesn't really help with your case that he's not a punk. He's also cursed off his coach. He's really a nice guy. The police and the press are just out to get him.
Pearls of wisdom from AI's mouth: "Everybody stay fly get money, kill and f_ck b****es" "You man enuff to pull a gun be man enuff to squeeze it" "I know killaz that kill for a fee That'll kill yo' arse for free, believe me How you wanna die fast or slowly" "Die reachin fo heat, leave you leakin in da street" C'mon he's not a punk, dude is an angel. LMAO!
Exactly. People claiming Iverson just has a bad rep are complete morons. This idiot is not exactly someone should be cheering for. He is nothing but an overrated, self promoting, stupid ass moron.
Rockets03: I totally agree with you. His field goal percentage last season was under 40%! All the Philly fans act like he's just misunderstood, and how he's changed. Well now he's being charged with aggravated and simple assault, reckless endangering of other people, conspiracy, possession of an instrument of crime, violations of the uniform firearms act, burglary and criminal trespass. I was at Barnes and Noble and was looking at a book about him. In it they had a chapter on how he was a changed man and a good guy. He is an overrated jerk. I wonder what his wife thinks about the parts in his songs that talk about rapping women.
Allen Iverson is one of the biggest reasons the NBA is not as popular as it once was...he is a punk, a thug, and generally a bad guy overall. No one doubts that he TRIES hard on the basketball court, but he has no concept of team play, and is constantly in trouble off the court. He is a cancer, no doubt about it, don't believe it...ask Larry Hughes, or Theo Ratliff, or Tony Kukoc. So what if he tries hard all the time, the guy is a thug. He has money, fame, and still acts like a little gang banger from the hood. The sooner this blight goes away...the better. DaDakota PS. Can you tell I don't like him?
PUL LEASE Dakota. . . why try to hide your bias. . . . we ALL KNOW THE REAL REASON YOU DON'T LIKE AI. . . . . BECAUSE HE IS SHORT!!!! Rocket River
Police: Iverson threatened men with a gun -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Associated Press PHILADELPHIA -- Police say they have enough evidence to arrest NBA All-Star Allen Iverson on charges he barged into a home with a gun and threatened two men while looking for his wife. Philadelphia police planned to ask the district attorney Wednesday to approve charges against the Philadelphia 76ers star of aggravated assault and making terroristic threats. "We feel there's enough evidence there now to do what we've got to do -- arrest him," said police Lt. Michael Chitwood. If District Attorney Lynne Abraham approves the charges, a warrant would be issued and the Sixers' guard would be asked to surrender, police said. Prosecutors have not gotten word from police about Iverson, the district attorney's office said Tuesday night. Police said Iverson has no gun permit and has not registered a gun in Pennsylvania. Iverson, 27, has not commented publicly, and no one answered the intercom on Tuesday outside his suburban Philadelphia mansion. The 76ers said Tuesday night they had been advised "charges are imminent." "We will continue to support Allen while we await the outcome of these proceedings," the statement said. Iverson's lawyer, Tom Shuttleworth, declined to comment Tuesday. One man inside the apartment said Iverson came to look for his wife, Tawanna, and cousin, Shaun Bowman, on July 3. Bowman lives in the apartment, but neither was there, said Charles Jones, 21, who met with police Tuesday. Jones declined to reveal what Iverson said or how he threatened him. Jones said Iverson had a black handgun but did not brandish it. Iverson and his wife were married last summer, and they have two children. Iverson was the league MVP in 2001, leading the 76ers to the NBA Finals for the first time in 18 years. As a high schooler in 1993, Iverson was arrested in a Hampton, Va., bowling alley brawl and spent four months in prison before then-Gov. Douglas Wilder granted clemency. The Virginia Court of Appeals overturned the conviction in 1995. In 1997, Iverson pleaded no contest to a gun charge after police in Richmond, Va., stopped a car in which he was a passenger and found a gun belonging to Iverson and two joints. He pleaded no contest to the gun charge, and a mar1juana-possession charge was dropped. He was sentenced to probation. In 2000, Iverson recorded a rap CD about violence and street life that was denounced by women, gays and league officials. He later apologized and agreed to soften the lyrics
