Everything is a conspiracy. Nothing is as it seems. Wow..sorry...I couldn't make it through this post without laughing. ToyCen could use a hobby. Maybe we could all buy him a stamp collecting starter kit or something.
You honestly don't think there aren't powerful people out there who will ruthlessly kill others for money and power? Go an read the Godfather. It's business. It's survival. It's life.
Bingo. I'm not saying the crash was part of a big conspiracy, but at the same time I wouldn't rule anything out. Yeah, it's a ToyCen thread which automatically deducts 5000 credibility points but it's still something to get you thinking out of the box. ****, you really think the government tells the truth 100% of the time? lmao.
I hope this doesn't come as too much of a shock for you, but the Godfather is a work of FICTION written by Mario Puzo. It is not a true story. Instead, what happened in reality is that the mobsters who were stupid enough to run around "whacking" people that they very obviously didn't like back in the 1970's and 1980's are now spending the rest of their lives as a guest of the federal prison system. My general impression is that if governments are running around killing people, they are organized and smart enough that if, for instance, the Russian government wanted to kill the entire Polish government they would have enough sense to not do it as they were flying to Russia. Rather, they would kill the entire group as they were flying to Davos or some other location completely unattached to Russia. The Soviet Union at one point learned a very hard lesson about making guilt obvious when they let their bumbling Bulgarian clients use Russian toys to assassinate Georgi Markov. Those sorts of lesson about the values of subtlety and misdirection aren't easily forgotten. To claim it is a Russian plot requires both the acceptance of the desire to carry out such a nefarious plot, but also the complete and total ineptitude of the entirety of the Russian intelligence apparatus to screw up the situation so completely that if you accept the existence of a plot, the situation clearly points back to the Russians being the one who did it. Simply put, they aren't stupid enough to **** where they eat. If any secret plots exist, they are probably the things that you believe are totally harmless accidents.
Wow genius, it's fiction? Really? What else can you tell me that isn't obvious? It's a book about the nature of humanity. My point is that humans are ruthless individuals who want to survive. Survival instincts, which aren't fiction, dictate that killing one to obtain power and money is advantageous and highly probable in many cases.
About a man in a convertible driving at low speed on a curvy road between buildings getting shot in the gun capital of the known universe within three years of a college student in the same state taking out 14? Yup. Fixed for ya...
This is so wrong it's not even funny. The only people capable of directing a pilot to land are air traffic controllers and Russian ATC advised the flight crew twice that conditions at the airport weren't suitable for landing. Not only that but Russian ATC also advised the flight crew to abort the approach (landing attempt) after they noticed the plane's rate of descent was too great which consequently meant their altitude would be too low to execute a landing. This order was repeated several times and ignored before the point of impact. There was no Russian "phantom voice" whispering erroneous commands into the ears of the pilots thereby causing the plane to crash. This is a classic case of pilot error due to everything I mentioned above as well as the flight crew's 13-second reaction time between the time their terrain alert alarm went off and before any action was taken to pull-up and regain altitude.
You are the one who was telling us it was "proof". But the entire thing happened in the head of one man who was writing in order to entertain people. The fact that you can't distinguish this amuses me. You speak as one who has experienced more in the pages of books than in the real world. When I was younger, I mistook outsizes cynicism and an overactive sense of drama for hard realism as well.
Even though this conspiracy highly unlikely, it doesn't excuse the fact that the Russians are still **** heads.
