I'm looking for some clay poker chips. I was looking at the Casino Royale chips they used in 007. It's $149 for 500.

i want some unique chips and not looking for ones that everyone else has (the white, red, blue, black, green chips). Looking for kind of chip color they have at the World Series, any suggestions?

Do not be swayed by phonies....the true poker chip is 10.5 ounces.......and is solid clay....

Look around for those...they are the real deal.

Yeah, I've been looking. The lighter the chips, the better quality right? (10 vs. 14 oz)

Are those clay chips? They look nice...I rather not have the denomination on them...I know I'm being picky

Be careful with the clay chips. You don't want to be "that guy" among your poker friends. Some people can pull off investing in a nice set of chips, but in my experience, usually it comes off as cocky. Do you already have a nice set of composite chips?

Really depends on the group you play with. Think of it as an etiquette thing. It's like any hobby, you spend a bunch of money on gear instead of working on your game, and you risk ticking off those you play with. It's like the guy on the softball team that has all the great equipment, but strikes out every time.

I'm just saying, some people can pull off spending money on nice chips and not look like a n00b/douchebag. Others can't. Personally, clay versus resin chips are the last thing I care about when playing poker. Nice cards, good table, comfortable chairs, are all WAY more important.

Nice chips add a good feel to the game though. I don't think there's a "that guy" when it comes to chips. It never comes up in our home games I play in. In fact we make good fun when the chips don't match or it's the cheap kind.
