If Lin was at 4 million a year then we wouldn't be having this conversation. He isn't worth 8 and that money is needed to bring in a third star or semi star and improve bench depth. It's not Lin the player that people have a problem with its Lin the salary cap figure. I'll take Lowry at 6 million all day long over Lin at 8.
i'm thinking lin would make a great 6th man off the bench, mostly when harden goes out. play him 25min a game and just let him do his thing, making plays out of nothing..
So when you watched the games last year, which ones do you remember clearly outplaying him. I watched every Rockets game and probably every marquee game of every team and remember Lin toasting a lot of these guys with a few exceptions.
I have a sneaky suspicion that 4 million or not, we would've heard the same thing from the same people, lol. Let's say also that Lin played defense at the level of Chris Paul last year, even then people would say the same things about his defense, lol. Most kids these days like dogging Lin. It is what it is.
Keep Lin. Come on guys. Sessions? Calderon? Keep Lin and worst comes to worst you trade him after next season as an expiring.
Tyreke Evans - 4 year/$44M - Pelicans http://www.nba.com/2013/news/07/01/pelicans-offer-tyreke-evans-44-million/index.html C.J. Watson - 2 year/$?M - Pacers http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/e...indiana-pacers-verbally-agree-on-twoyear-deal
I think your point highlights exactly what I've been saying- there aren't really better realistic options at PG. If Lin plays like be did post All Star break, I'd take him anyday over all of those guys. Now if Chris Paul or Tony Parker become available, I'd happily part ways with him.
Agree with a previous poster. Cant beleive we chose Lin over Dragic. Dragic would be PERFECT for what we need
