Chen? Are you Asian or just grab ransom Chinese sir name for your tag? Your "complimented" don't make you unbiased, just trying to hide you hate for a player. No one is acting like Lin is the best PG in the league. Yet you keep saying that. You think he is???

People on this board say the craziest things. Remember the guy who said M Morris is the next Allstar? How about PPat is the next.... want.

    Anyway, Go Rockets....

I still feel Lin is over rated, over paid and is a scrub. But totally agree with Lof's being gone.

Interesting. A Rockets fan since '99 who presumably watched the Rockets play this year and saw Lin play all 82 regular season games says this.

LOl what?!? 1 playmaker? LeBron barely won and he's the best player in the NBA and Dwayne Wade is the secondary playmaker.

Your starting PG having 80 shots around the rim the entire year is ok with you? That's less than one drive and layup attempt a game! The "unbelievable" difference you're talking about is a fg% difference of 5%!! And that's with Lin struggling to start the year. Take into account by attacking more 243 shots around the basket he's helping create opportunities with others and with Dwight here that's at least 1-2 follows a game on missed Lin layups. Not really that much of a difference unless you're talking about pure 3 pt shooting ability.

Billups is way over the hill. People complain about Lin's shooting percentage? he was at 44% last year....Billups has shot above that just 2 seasons in his 16 year career.

Both are too fragile at this point. Hinrich hasnt been healthy in 3 years.

Calderon's opponent FG% is probably not much different than his own.

Ty for quoting me but before u quote people you should understand what they are saying. I'm not saying harden is out only playmaker... hello we do have that other young star that knows how to drive in (chandler and bev)I'm saying we don't need a strong playmaker like Lin in return if we loose Lin. Ty for playing and proceed to your normal day

Actually Bev is not much of a playmaker, and Parsons is better when either a shot or an opening for a drive has been created for him.

Go back and look at Lin and Beverley's highlights this year. Whereas one has great transition passes and creates plays out of nothing that leads to assists and rim and corner 3s, the other gets most of his assists from making the extra pass, and mostly for 3 point shots.

You can also look at the games when Harden didn't play, and see how one player's usage and scoring went up, while the other stayed pretty much the same. One is a pretty good playmaking insurance option, while the other cannot raise his production when Harden is out. Much like OKC was waiting for Ibaka to take a bigger role when RWB went down, but it never happened despite the defensive attention been placed fully on Durant.

If you ask me, I'd rather have a second playmaker on the team, especially one that is willing to defer and adjust his game to being more off the ball for to good of this team, then someone who won't be able to pick up his game and playmake when the need arises.

Rodney Stuckey might be worth looking at. We would have great size in the back court.

I think Cannan would be better than Lin and PB.

    How about Brandon Knight instead?

Strengths - Great outside shooting, size, and defensive potential
Flaws - below average dribbling and passing at the point guard position.

Classic shooting guard in a point guard's body. Detroit has attempted to play him as a distributing pg or an undersized 2 due to lack of a true 2 guard with size and a true ball distributer on the roster. Exactly the scenario Gersson Rosas explained in his interview with Clutch regarding a talented player in a poor situation.

Fortunately, his flaws are Harden's strengths. The fit and spacing is ideal. If I remember correctly, he was drafted at age 19 and has already put up big scoring games at the NBA level. He is still on his rookie scale contract.

I'm unsure of the exact salary numbers or cap situation but if we do end up with Howard and the rumored Gay trade is to happen, then hypothetically something along the lines of:

S&T Josh Smith to the Rox
    Knight to the Rox

Lin and Asik to the Hawks

    Teague to the Pistons

And an assortment of draft picks to even it out seems beneficial to all teams.

    Wow , so Lin's better than Curry because he's 3-1 on him:rolleyes:

Dragic put up 14/7 running 90% of the suns offense

Lin put up 13/6 running 40% of the rockets offense

    Lets get Dragic Back

Lets use the excuse of Dragic had nothing around him

Holiday had even worse around him in philly , dude put up 18/9(name someone on philly other than E.Turner)

When u are first option , it all flows through you. your stats look great, but if you are surrounded by "whatever you call them" "nothing". your team loses = no playoffs.
