Point Differential

    Nothing big here, but point differential is one of my favorite stats since it often seems to correlate well with a team's true strength. In the 27 games in 2008, ours is 8.5. In the last 10 games, it's a whopping 14.7

    (Is it material in light of Yao's injury? maybe not, but still a telling stat)

    I remember seeing a thread a while back about the Rockets not being able to 'blow' people out like last year. We've witnessed a lot of these lately. Our point differential in the streak is very impressive! Let's keep it going against a poor defensive team Sunday.

    it's also a benefit of a relatively weak schedule. we'll see if their for real when they play some of the teams coming up.

    my favorite team stat as well. i figured it should be a common sense.

    The game against New Orleans didn't hurt the PD at all.

    Good point. Also, when teams boost their point diff its typically against weak opposition. So... Ya.
