Radiolab, This American Life, The Skeptics Guide to the Universe, Snap Judgment, The Basketball Jones, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me are the ones I listen to regularly.
Lately I've been listening to You Made It Weird with Pete Holmes. Basically, he copied what Maron does but add in a pretty annoying and loud laugh and subtract all the frustration and antagonism with younger successful comedians. He came up in the comedy scene at the same time as many of the top comedians today and it's pretty cool hearing about their times together when they were all starting out. He started in Chicago and knew Hannibal Buress, and he moved to New York and became friends with guys like John Mulaney, Nick Kroll, Joe DeRosa, and Anthony Jeselnik. Another thing he always does is ask his guests about 3 specific topics: Comedy, Sexuality, and Religion. It gets pretty interesting.
I spend every waking and sleeping free moment listening to podcasts. I religiously listen to the following: ABC News - This Week Adam Carolla Show (i fall asleep to this one every night) ESPN Fantasy Focus Baseball ESPN Fantasy Focus Football ESPN: PTI The BS Report Face the Nation on the Radio Fareez Zakaria GPS Firewall & Iceberg Podcast Fitzdog Radio Fox News Sunday Freakonomics Radio Hot Click w/ Jimmy Traina Jason Whitlock Podcast Men's Health Podcast Mohr Stories NBC Meet the Press NBC Nightly News The Nerdist NPR It's All Politics Real Time w/ Bill Maher Reliable Sources Shields and Brooks NewsHour Slate's Audio book club Slate's Culture Gabfest Slate's Political Gabfest CNN State of the Union The Tony Kornheiser Show New Yorker: The Political Scene NPR: Business Story of the Day NPR: Economy Podcast NPR: Planet Money POLITICO podcast Wall Street Journal This Morning PBS Washington Week Podcast
