Summer is upon us, I plan on taking a few road trips over the next few months and am looking for some new podcasts to listen to. So far I listen to the following Wait, wait...don't tell me Woooooo Nation Screenjunkies movie fights Here's the thing Freakanomics Stuff you should know
Hardcore History is an amazing lengthy listen if it fits your style. Not funny but so informative. They average around 3 hours long and most are multi-parters.
The ones I listen to are -All of The Ringer podcasts (Bill Simmons podcast, NBA Show, NFL Show, Channel 33, The Watch) -This American Life -Radiolab -Serial -Criminal -Stuff You Should Know -Thinking Sideways -True Crime Garage -Generation Why
Joe Rogan's (I really like it because it varies so much from podcast to podcast) (the UFC gets tiresome and I typically skip those) Hardcore History (Is amazing, I wish people could more often get into this instead of Kardasian B.S.) How Things Work (these guys are really good at what they do) For me those are more than enough regarding volume of content. I did listen to Serial though which is 100% worth listening to.
Hardcore history. All the free ones are good to great (blueprint for Armageddon and wrath of the khans especially) but it's worth the $1.99 an episode to download the ghosts of the ostfront re: the eastern front of WWII. /thread
Art of Charm Altucher Podcast Serial Radiolab Freakonomics You are not so Smart Planet Money Bloomberg Odd Lots Bulletproof Radio With this rotation of podcasts, I haven't had to turn on the radio dial in a long time. I actually look forward to driving these days.
2 Dope Queens is hilarious. Feakanomics Deadcast (gotta be in the mood. Those guys are pretty negative :grin The Ringer NBA, NFL and BS pods Clutchfans pod! Chris Kresser pod (health stuff)
