on a lighter note (saying the trade went down) our locker room talk would be hands down the most entertaining to listen to in the nba
It'd probably be better if our two best offensive players could actually be on the court at the same time... Seriously though, when was the last time a team's two best offensive players were as incapable of playing together as Yao and Shaq?
could be interesting. if the team is playing good without tracy to start the season, I would give it a shot
We would have the best D-fence in the world yao, battier, artest, shaq, hayes, and landry no more easy baskets!!! Get'erdone Morey!!!!
The only probelm facing this tandem is injuries. Who will play during back to back games. Sometime last season, Shaq was withheld on the second night. Can both complement each other that playing time could be lessen thus chances of injuries and over fatigue would be diminished?
we have already got roughly the best center in the league, Shaq would only strengthen the bench even if he came to Houston. Besides, the Suns are definitely have less interest on T-Mac's 23m expiring than some other expiring packages like Stackhouse and Dampier from the Mavs, because Stackhouse's contract has been partially bought out, which means this trade would save them much more money. The Mavs are more hungry for a center than we are, so they are likely to attach some picks to their package as well. Certainly our picks should be sold that cheap, as long as Morey can always make much more than the market value of our picks.
The Rockets do not have picks and Cuban is more aggressive then Les. These are points that give the Mavs the advantage in snagging Shaq from the Suns.
some guy said i'd rather get amare. me too. stoudemire, scola, yao, battier, brooks. that's an amazing starting line. we still have artest, landry, wafer, hayes, lowry, white, and dorsey. honestly, getting a backup C and getting a leadership-quality guard is probably higher on the list of priorities. if the hornets trade idea for Chris Paul is still there, i'd take that in a heart-beat. then, i'd make more trades to get myself a backup C in case yao pulls something.
I mean we shouldn't sell our picks that easily, and I agree the Mavs should run their legs out persuing shaq while they can. Though the result is probably the same failure, like Donnie Nelson always does.
