Ha ha ... here's the guy who spent a ton of money on a car so people would think he was cool, and now he's mad because he's realizing that people just think he's a douche.
Lots of douches on the road with fog lamps or high beams blazing when not necessary. I wonder if these idiots realize they are putting themselves in as much danger as they are everyone else.
Whats the big deal about fog lamps? They never bother me on vehicles that have them on and are coming towards me. What bothers me sometimes is what other people mentioned...high/raised up trucks and SUV's that shine their headlights straight into your eyes. The only time it bothers me though is when I drive my wifes 08 Accord..that car seems really low.
Yeah, I think they're ridiculous, but not so obtrusive as the HIDs. The HIDs bother me more. And I don't care if it's the "properly" installed versions or not, that hard edge of light is irritating when it bounces in and out of your view, especially when it's some off color. Judging by the pic, it appears those installed "properly" would be worse. Mainly, I just think that people who have either are begging for attention, and would be amazed if anyone who has either is really concerned about "performance."
This is what erks me. Never understood why people who live in the city have these lights besides the look of it or just trying to be "cool" I guess.
+1 on the Pro-HID comments. After getting used to them in my current car, whenever I try to drive a car without HIDs at night it almost feels like the headlamps aren't on at all. I don't think I could ever go back to a car without projectors/HIDs. Factory-installed HIDs will not blind oncoming traffic. Cheap aftermarket conversion kits are the ones that do, and they manage to look really lame at the same time.
