I don't get how people are calling this a dick move. For those of you that have forgotten, This IS a business. If it weren't tickets wouldn't keep going up. In business you should do anything that is legal and ethical to get the upper hand on your competition. Signing him and playing him is both. If anything, Portland trying to get out of a contract that they owe is neither.
its a cockblock no matter what way. It is business but I think that if Blazers didnt owe him any $ if he played, less teams would be likely to sign him. either way, love the grizz for taking one for the team (or the league in this instance)

If it's a legal action, it's legit in the League. The NBA Draft puts veterans out of work each year, and players get cut and waived all the time. It's part of the game to sign and cut players. If it hurts Portland, that's their problem; no one foced them to offer Miles a 68 million deal, nor Randolph a 86 million deal. Seems the chickens are coming home to roost...
