Just released by the pelicans and I watched him play alot last year. I am shocked they're letting him go because he's a shot blocking machine with a very capable outside shot. We need a stretch big who can also block shots to play along side Harden/Westbrook, we cannot rely on Chandler as a backup C unless it's for veteran leadership. If we're unable to get a 3D wing like Igggy via trade, a stretch defensive big would be the next best thing. GET THIS GUY OFF WAIVERS MOREY
I think he could be a good backup. I followed him after the draft; undrafted and I believe played for the Rockets Summer League team that year.
he's 7.5%+ too low on his threes, but I'd still be down. warm body that has shown he can now deliver at the NBA level occasionally.
Just curious but why would the Pelicans get rid of a young 6’10” player with what appears to be a minimum player contract if he is worth keeping? Seems like he would be a perfect building price? I’m not trying to be critical but when he was with the Rockets summer league team a few years ago he seemed like a passive player. Perhaps he has improved and is ready but why did NO cut him?
We always one of the last teams because we have a shady commish in our league ..... and we have very little faab lol.
Any team with a worse record than us is ahead of us in waiver claim order We can use one of our many TPEs to put in a waiver claim for Mr. Wood
Only thing I can think of is that they have a surplus of other promising rookies like Jaxson Hayes that they rather give playing time to
I wish we never let him go. Really liked is potential out of college, but I guess we thought he was too raw.
