I've learned more about budget and finance issues from folks here than I think I care to know. Still, it has shaped my political thoughts in subtle ways.

Also, I like most of you.

Clinton got crap, but it was about the same amount as Bush Sr. or Reagan. He received Nothing NEAR the amount of crap that Bush or Obama get.

The last 2 presidents have gotten all sorts of venom spewed at them. Nobody ever made a movie about Clinton getting assassinated.

Trying to defend Ron Paul made me realize I shouldn't defend Ron Paul.

Jokingly throwing out stuff I thought was funny in a serious way made me stop joking as much (which is what I come here for)

Going around and around on evolution caused me to decide against going around and around on evolution.

I don't think most of the topics here should be discussed seriously unless it is face to face.

For one, I used to post things I regretted because I wouldn't even think about what I was saying and half the time I was trying to stir the pot.

I've never had time to prepare an answer, actually I don't have time to be here at all, but it is alot of fun to see some of the debates, like a car wreck I guess.

There are some great people here also- I did change my mind about irish punk rock because of D&D- now I like it.:)

Great to see you posting here again as I hadn't seen you on here for months, of course I've been swamped with work the last week so maybe I've missed you posting recently.

I've learned quite a bit on the D & D and am frequently impressed by the amount of knowledge that many posters bring. As for Grandpappy who said discussing religion here was a waste of time I disagree and Rhester is an example of why. I have learned a lot about Christianity and Islam here and when we get beyond calling Muslims terrorists, Christians close minded and all the religious deluded. There is some very good discussions about the beliefs, philosophy and history behind religions.

As far as changing Rhester's mind about Irish Punk Rock I hope I had something to do about that. If not then

Were you living under a rock? He was accused of killing Foster, impeached for a BJ, Whitewater, the list of crap the GOP pilloried Clinton with was endless. Yet, he persevered and triumphed.

I used to be wary of health care reform until reading the posts of some very informed members here. After fact-checking and doing my own research, I am all in favor for a single payer, Medicare for all solution.

When I first joined the BBS I ventured only into Rocket land. Slowly I ventured out and explored the world. The rest of the NBA...College basketball...General life issues...Politics...Religion....Global warming...Evolution...

But over the last few years I've stepped back from the D&D wrt both posting and lurking in the section.

I think that is a function of the quality of the D&D. Which is not to put anyone down - there certainly ARE great posts and debates in here, but man do you have to dig through to figure it out.

Any to the point of this thread, not only does nobody every say you're right, you changed my mind, but people don't even admit when they've made incorrect claims.

Then you get ATW vs. Mathloom (sp?) pages and pages of reiterating what they did or didn't say over the last few pages or in previous threads.

I only popped in just now to waste some time. To the extent I do pop in, it's usually a quick peep at the forum, confirming that all the same conversations are happening (by looking at thread titles mostly), and then back to reality

I can help with this. First off you're a RINO and second you're a socialist. Third you're Muslim and fourth you're gay. A gay Muslim RINO. Good luck with that, man.

bigtexxx singlehandedly convinced me to become a radical liberal.

Pgabriel made me realize black people can have white people problems too.

I think the one poster who intelligently refuted everything I said with cold hard logic was LScolaDominates. I had no choice but to recognize his fluid debate style. Then I got to know him a little bit and realized how clueless I really was about most intellectual things.
