I always thought Lamb was a poor man's Durant. Smooth, long, athletic and loves the floater in the lane. Can create off the dribble and loves to go left and rise up for a jumper. You found Kevin Martins replacement, as well as a player who will average 12-14 ppg his rookie year.
Its not so much after 2 decent games, its that he went up againist 2 SG's who were percieved better than he was, and not only scored but held them to below average FG%( especially when he was matched up on them)
So what you're saying is he passed the peer test? People they said were better than him and he (cool like) showed that those people appear to be wrong. Dude will be a beast. The cold water trollers just hate to see excitement. Just ignore them fools.
Again, I realize this is summer league, but you honestly have to look at how Lamb is producing points and showing productivity across the board. Moreover, he did this in college, where he was an unheralded talent, as well. I said months ago that he had All-Star potential, though he could end being one of those players who are really good, but only has few all-star appearances. Nevertheless, he was without a doubt a good pick.
Lamb reminds me a bit of Dwayne Wade. Wade 6-4 6-11 wingspan, Lamb 6-5 7-0 wingspan. When Wade came out he had a very similar build. Both very smooth playing the game, are natural scorer's, and have a underrated defensive game.
I understand where you are coming from that Houston has the better deal but the point is the Warriors dropped out of the race. Meanwhile Houston maneuvered itself to better it's deal, the Warriors did the exact opposite. That was the only point that other teams aren't going as hard as Houston has been, usually when a superstar player starts to expire you see other teams set themselves up for it and outside of Houston and to a lesser extent the Nets you just have not seen much of that.
You cannot trade Lamb for a year of Dwight. I know it's just summer league, but he has played solid every moment of summer league so far. Hope he isn't traded.
