Polite applause is one thing, but a standing ovation?

For what? Getting us to the first round of the playoffs finally in his fourth year?

The standing O should be saved for T-Mac and T-Mac only.

No standing "O." A polite applause, then cheer for the Rockets. Booing would be classless, he didn't want to be traded.

Houston fans are not known for rowdy support, but they are known for being classy. I hope he gets a standing O. He worked hard and loved the City and the fans showing appreciation for that would be the right thing.

As I stated in the game thread, I will be standing applauding and wearing the throwback Rockets jersey. I love the guy, he just wasnt right with Yao. Plays his heart out but we had to give up him or Yao and that wasnt hard to choose.

I think he deserves some thing better than applause.. I mean he's been the face of our franchise for a while..

Eventhough we got frustrated with his dumb mistakes, I think many of us still like this guy for his effort on court

I would definitely cheer him.. If I am at the game

Right on...I will cheer him throughout the game but only him on the Magic side. I will be rooting for the Rox to win though. I hope it is an entertaining game.

    Tickets to the game.....$14.00
Parking........................$5.00 (hopefully free if I can find a spot)
    Food and soda.............$7.00
Cato getting into it with one of the Rox and have JV Grumpy come out and grab Cato's leg and swing all over the floor........PRICELESS!!!:D

A standing ovation for Steve will be completely out of order.

He will hear a mixture of boos and cheers for sure but what I feel is appriopriate is apathy. Give him the same thing we would give to say Grant Hill at best.

No-no to standing ovation or wild cheer and I am sure I will not be disappointed come Monday night.

What a full circle for Cuttino.

In his first year as a Rocket (PG), he lost to the Lakers in the 1st round of the playoffs against the Lakers. I blame Scottie (its Barkleys fault I cant guard Kobe) Pippen.

In his last year, we lose to the Lakers in the 1st round of the playoffs.

I won't be at the Toyota Center, but as a Francis fan I will stand up and clap -- until the game starts. :D

I want to know where you are going to find Food and a soda for $7.00? Maybe you meant at a 7-11 on the way. but not at the TC - $17.00 maybe, but probably not $7.00. :D

As I'm in Asia at the moment (otherwise I would be still stuck in MN) I won't be able to give Francis a standing O but if I would if I were at TC.

Like most guys Francis frustrated the hell out of me at times but he also had me awed at times too. You could question his b-ball IQ but never his heart and spirit.

He showed a lot of class to us by taking out a full page ad thanking Houston fans when he left and the least we can do is give him a standing O in appreciation.

At the minimum he loved being a Rocket and that's enough for me to like the guy.

haha...you're right, I was thinking it was $1.00 hot dog night but that's not til the Feb 6th game against the Lakers I think. The food at sporting events are ridiculous. Peace.

I will be at the game and will not Boo Francis. He played hard for the Rockets. Not smart, but hard, and didn't want to leave.

    Really?

I expect a fair number of fans to give him a decent standing-O. I doubt that you'll hear any wild cheers or boos. Anyone who boos would feel mighty childish when others are standing to show their appreciation for his hard work and love for Houston.
