    1. i think it is adelman ask brooks to take more shot in some matchup.
    2. always, we all know it is what brooks provide.
    3. little, look he play better than rafer in many matchup.
    4. lowry will get minutes and may use to close a game sometimes.

if rockets keep winning, the start rotation will not change this year.

why are people so hung up on who starts? they both nearly split the minutes so big deal? Brooks' record as a a starter is pretty freaking good.

Who takes his minutes? Chuck Hayes who is also a loyal Houston Rocket.

Wrong! Adelman almost cost us the game both time by not having Lowry in to play D. In fact, he cost us the game in Chicago because Aaron can't guard Rose but Adelman is the type of coach that insist on sticking with a player because HE LIKES TO GO WITH THE FLOWWWWW....he's not much a strategy coach ..but a players' "FEEL GOOD" type of coach. IF you play well, he will give u the minutes EVEN if you suck on defense and even if he knows you got killed on the other hand. He needs to stop this bullshyt because time and time again, he does the team no good because the other teams are making a comeback because of his bogus decision.

Parker is also in his 8th NBA season. He averaged 15.5 points and 5.3 assists and 2.4 turnovers per game while taking almost 14 shots per game in his second season

And as far as Brooks driving to the basket, did you or did you not watch the Phoenix game? I'm guessing the latter

So this is really an "I hate Rick Adelman" thread in disguise.

Lowry's reluctance to shoot the three hurts when Yao gets doubled (though he can drive and finish, but in those situations Yao's defender is already in the post. Lowry is a great fast break guard and can penetrate, but I think our half court offense needs AB to get shots. I like that they basically split time.

Also, please go and check our record with AB as the starter ;)

Brooks had one of his better shooting nights tonight, going 7 for 13.

Dont you all realize we need SCORERS to take the pressure off Yao? otherwise Rafer would still be here going 2-9 and we'd be living and dying by Yao's jumpshot like in the JVG era. *shudders*

I don't know about yall but I like efficient scorer from the perimeter. Brooks played great tonight, and I hope he tries to score 20 every game (while shooting a good fg%).

my biggest knock on arron as a pg is his vision and playmaking. but the one thing i think he can instantly improve is to know what to do before he drives to the basket if the layup is not there. other than that, he will do fine. although i'd prefer lowry to start, it's not a very strong favoritism.

    What a load of BS.

"HE LIKES TO GO WITH THE FLOWWWWW....he's not much a strategy coach ..but a players' "FEEL GOOD" type of coach."

All coaches drive us crazy from time to time with their decisions, but to say this about Adelman simply reeks of knowing nothing about his career. The guy's record speaks for itself. Maybe you don't remember his Portland and Sacramento teams driving the rest of the league crazy. Coach A's done an amazing job with this team, considering he hasn't known when two of his most important players were going to suit up much of the year.

Everyone kept talking about how we need that "go-to-guy", and Aaron is becoming that for us... and now people want Lowry to start?

    Pick a side...

Lowry is a better playmaker and passer than Brooks, but that's not what the starting line needs. We need a scorer to take pressure off Yao and Brooks played that perfectly tonight. Lowry is much better suited dishing dimes to Landry and Scola since he's not as good of a perimeter shooter as Brooks and also doesn't look to shoot as much.

I remember in phoenix when adelman took lowry out because the defensive player for the suns was sagging off of kyle so much that he was already in yao's lap before Kyle ball even got to yao.

You can't cheat over on yao like that when aaron is in the game...You have to respect his jumper

that is true though, we need that 3 pt shooting in our starting line up or the rafer trade makes no sense, i withdraw my previous statement and agree to keep brooks in the starting lineup, but not playing so many minutes, lowry is playing great and he needs to play imo anywhere from 16-22 minutes a game which is abt 5 more than he was getting at memphis if i remember the stat sheet correctly

Lowry is a point guard who is going to put up huge numbers, so giving him more minutes will not make is stats amazing. These previous few games, with the exception of the game against Phoenix, both Lowry and Brooks are playing about the same amount of minutes, so it doesn't really matter too much who is starting. Whoever is playing particularly well in the game will get more minutes and that is how it should be. Lowry coming off the bench is not necessarily a bad thing because he gives at least some defense to a second unit that is lacking it.
