LoL I would love to do that, except I'm not nearly as cool as him. I wouldn't be able to pull that off with my students. Luckily most of the lot aren't my students anymore so I might just do that next time they say "Hi!..." on my wall.
Haha, see that is why facebook is "addicting"... I wish one day that they come up with a way to see who views your profile pictures all of the time... I think the guy who said it's for girls is spot on, but I think girls stalk other girls on facebook more than they stalk guys. My ex boyfriend's receptionist added me as a friend on facebook... creepy! I had never even met the girl... she just wanted to see my pictures etc... I don't really blame her though
every teacher I ever had, as a rule, would not become your friend until after you graduated, that would solve your problem
(Almost) Everyone gets a kick out of other people giving them attention. Facebook is just another outlet for the "hey, look at me" line of thinking most people have. A few things really bug me about facebook. The first one is when people quit or take a break from facebook and ****ing announce it to everyone. Every time one of my FB friends does that they get deleted. Another thing (as someone mentioned already) are the r****ded quotes people leave so that the rest of us think they are such deep thinkers. Typically, the people who do that are the dumbest, shallowest people I know. Next, is all the damn apps/polls that litter my page. You post those too much and you get deleted. Finally, it really bugs me when my girlfriend gets pissed at me posts something vague on facebook about it. It's just enough where everyone thinks I'm a dick but not enough where they can know exactly what (she thinks) I did. I find that every time I go above about 25-30 FB friends I have to cull the herd just so I can keep up with the people I actually care about communicating with.
The best part about Facebook is all the stupid people who are ruining their futures because of the stuff they put on there. "Oh look at this picture of me in my bra with a shotglass in my hand! Oh and what does my status update say? It says my boss is a dumbass? Oh lol! Good thing nobody uses this internet thing but my friends!" I love hearing stories of people getting fired for their facebook stuff.
Yep. I don't post any pictures or anything else that would even give employers (not that I am looking right now) a chance to doubt me. I deleted all pictures where I was drinking or out at bars, etc. as to not give any illusions about what kind of person I am...regardless of how harmless they were. I deleted a bunch of wall posts from years ago with cussing and stupid comments from friends in college. I should probably just delete the whole thing, but there are a few people I actually care to keep up with and like to see pics, etc. I had a friend right after college applying to be a police officer and was denied simply because of a few immature comments by other people on his myspace.
A facebookers dream is to have people much cooler than him/her commenting and posting all over their page as if they matter. This goal simply can not be accomplished since they spend hours on facebook.
