    The other one should be arriving tomorrow, so I need to test it out and make sure everything is all hunky dory.

    Yes Yes Yes, 60GB PS3 = 100% backwards compatible with PS1 and PS2 games. Also with superior HD-like audio.

    Only have the one I'm trying to hook DaDa up with right now, since he's been on my "list" for a while.

    I'm always trying to obtain more though, I will update this thread whenever I get another one.

    From everything I've read, Sony is ditching backwards compatibility altogether in the new 80gbs.

    The 80gb model that is going to be dropped for $399 will basically have the same functionality as the 40gb model... i.e. will not play any PS2 games.

    Considering this model I have is still mostly BC, I will continue to ask a higher premium for the older 80gb models, as I do with the 60gb just because of the sheer rarity of being able to locate them.
