PlayStation Network Down

All I really got from that post was moestavern turns you on and gives you fatties.

 

It's not like it's going to be some unresolvable problem if you do turn your PS3 on, otherwise there would be millions of angry customers who did before Sony put out that notification.

It'll get resolved for everyone. Why? Because Sony will be boned if it doesn't.

 

You overestimate Sony.

...this is coming from a Sony supporter since PlayStation came out. One boneheaded mistake after another. This is almost worse than the red rings cause that was a hardware issue that couldn't easily be fixed in existing units. This apparently was a problem enough that it was fixed in the PS3 Slim models, but not in the older ones.

*shakes head*

 

Almost worse than RRoD? Ya right dude. That was Toyota-level epic failure.

 

It's the Sony fanboy in me. Can't shake him loose... yeah, it's a pretty atrocious oversight.

 

Im gonna do the battery fix for mine. Will let ya know how it goes.

same! Luckily I returned my last game from gamefly a while ago and haven't gotten my new one in due to high demand...so haven't turned it on since this happened

wow....haven't had mine on in a week or so. Definitely not going to turn mine on till this is all cleared up.

Glad I got Bad Company2 on PC.

Sometimes you can not do a firmware upgrade if the system is screwed, maybe everyone has to do a hard reset etc...and then update.....IE roll it back to factory settings.

But something like this could be major.

Just got to wait and see.

I bought an 80 gb PS3 a couple of weeks ago. I got it from E-bay for 225.00 including shipping, and it was new. Anyways....I'm just not that impressed. I reverted back to my 360 already. The controller drives me crazy! I do however like the features like the web browser, and the dashboard interface. I don't know, maybe I just haven't played it enough, hopefully it will grow on me.

So as long as I don't turn on my PS3 everything should be cool, right? I haven't turned it on in a week anyways so I guess I'm in the clear, lol.

well guess i was one the lucky ones....my fat ps3 is still workin..just got off gta4...

am i risking it by playing? i mean its working fine for me...

gta4 is an older game that many people can still play. can you log into the ps network?

Just buy it on 360 and return your Pre-ordered one, but I'm sure they will have it fixed in less then a week.
